Huh...a saison? Reddish brown pour with lots of off white head. Aroma with some toffee, spices, vegetal. Nothing too distinct in taste. Spices, burnt toast, slight hop bitterness. Watery. No thanks.

Bottle. Pours hazy medium brown with a reddish tint and a creamy white head. Some lacing. Tastes like earth, malt, slightly roasted. Dry with hints of herbs. Light body and good carbonation. Some aroma of roasted malt.

Just ok. Pours darker than I would expect for a saison but medium bodied. Definite tart cherries at first and then moves on to a spice mid taste and finish. Has a vegetal/ musty nature that doesn’t really work for me. Finishes
with a somewhat interesting bitterness. Not bad, just not my favorite combination of flavors.

12oz bottle to pint. Pours a dark murky brown. Tastes of toasted bread, burnt raisin and fig. Was not a fan of this.

A dark and complicated ale. Almost like a porter. Not as smokey. Acceptable but not incredible.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Clear brown color with tan head. Nutty, earthy dirt, vegetal, swamp gas aromas. Medium body with average co2. Medium roast malt, dark bread, lightly dry flavors with some dirt, vegetables--not bad.

Looks too dark for a saison...slight spice smell...way more watery than expected..mild compared to smell...unimpressive

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick, well retained, light beige head, with extensive lacing, over a brown (SRM 20) body....nose is cereal malts, hints of toast, mild hop spice....taste is cereal, with biscuit tones, leading to a moderate, dominant hop bitterness, minimal esters, no fruitiness.....mouth feel light of medium, carbonation medium. This particular bottle really isn’t a Saison, it is more of a Mild or a Northern English Brown in appearance, aroma and flavors. It is a technically nicely done beer with no off aromas or flavors, but it is not a Saison. BJCP 5/2/10/4/5

Brown pour with tan head and lace. Aroma is burnt brown sugar and musty. Flavor is light dried fruit with a bito flat bitter. Medium body with ok carbonation. Not so much for me. Not really bad.
