If this is actually a cream ale then the folks at the brewery need to be looking at the grain bill or possibly their brewing techniques. Lackluster across the board. Lacked body and pretty much any taste whatsoever. I stopped half way thru. boring and yet another let down from Magic "no 9 is our entire profit margin" Hat.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a dirty blonde with thin white head. Aroma is clean with just a touch of hops. Flavor is crisp and drinkable. Not too strong in either direction. Decent balance. Makes for a decent session brew.

This is a cream ale? That is not how it tasted to me. Maybe my buds were off or something, but I thought this was a pleasant, light rye ale. Fairly dry and mellow. Pretty good - about what I expected from the Hat.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
12 ounce bottle from the summer variety pack. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized fizzy white head. Below average head retention and lacing. Aroma of grassy hops and corn. The taste is grainy and grassy with a touch of sweet corn in the finish. Thin-medium bodied.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sweet malt aroma that was pretty average on this golden ale. Slightly carbonated flavor that was tangy and bittersweet. I have to say this beer was very smooth.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pale yellow color with a white head. Grainy malty aroma with a hint of fruit. It’s light bodied with almost no hops. Malt all the way and a little weak at the end. Seems like it would be a good base beer for something else.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a one centimetre tall, fast-dying slightly off white head - nothing impressive looking at all. Aroma of lemons, light malt, cardboard, herbal funky hops and a touch of a foreign yeast strain. Light-bodied; Funky cardboardie, malty flavour with a light citrus and lemon flavour with a very slight amount of stale or very low alpha acid hops coming through at the end. Aftertaste isn’t complex and mainly shows dry hops and a touch of cardboard/malt. Overall, a pretty poor beer, that was expected from this brewery. Not really worth sampling unless you want to try all their subpar products. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Wegman’s in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on 22-July-2011 sampled at home in Washington on 28-July-2011.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy gold with fizzy white head. Aroma has light, bright fruity notes and subtle grainy malt. Flavor is much the same and very balanced all around. Light body with high carbonation. Overall, not bad and very easy to drink.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a pale clear golden color with no head. Next to no aroma with some grain. Flavor has some grain and some sweet citrus. Not much more than that.
