Single Chair celebrating the uniqueness of the Mad River Glen Cooperative Ski Area in Vermont. Medium bodied and ideally balanced for all tastes, Single Chair Ale’s tempting light golden color, heady aroma and smooth liquid go down effortlessly and often!

Wellllll, I gotta confess, again, that the reason this beer was created (glorification of USA’s best small ski resort) contributes to my rating..... hey, Im reviewing beer here, not doing an experiment in a lab, for crissakes. Subjectivity.... anyway, its well ahead of other light-ish lager-y beers flavor and palate wise, and though its not my favorite Magic Hat product, its refreshing enough after an afternoon of pounding through moguls & dodging Stark Mountain trees. Ullr would approve, I think.....

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Nearly clear light golden amber color, white head, stripes of lace. Aroma of malt and floral hops. Taste is malt that has a little jolt of adjunct in it, moving through the palate with carbonation and hay joining in until mild floral hops enter late with minimal effect, leaving mostly sweet in its wake. This actually doesn’t "go down effortlessly." being a little heavy and bloating in my stomach.

Pours a straw from a bottle. Almost tastes like there’s corn in here. Bland, muddled, not a great beer. What’s up with Magic Hat, each one I try is a let down.

Luminous, cristal clear, gold. Distinctive yeasty nose. Light body, light flavor, feeble mouthfeel, low heat and carbonation, short length. Moderately but predominantly bitter, low acidity. Yeasty, malty. Ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Wildflowers in Yardville, NJ. Light golden color. Small creamy white head. Aroma is fruity malt, notes of peach and sweet corn. Flavor is light sweet malt with a touch of melon and honey. Very smooth and drinkable. Little hop prescence.

It poured a pale golden color with a white head. The aroma was of hops and not much else. The taste was decent with grass, hops and a thin malt backbone. Just ok.

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2016 Very light malt smell, low on hops...taste is slightly fruity and crisp, mostly malt but some pilsnery-ness to it, mellows with very light flavor by end x2

Somewhat doggy aroma at first, then just fades off to being cereal. Misty blonde, lackluster label. Mild lemony notes, tangy, nothing else. Medium-light body. ABC Liquors, Betton.

Poured from 12oz brown bottle (I love the ski lift artwork) into tulip glass, it poured a crystal clear golden colour with sudsy white foam which dissipated fast. Fairly strong DMS or corn aroma. Mushy grainy flavour and mouthfeel, dry finish but no deScript hoppiness. I know we’re not supposed to expect much from an American Cream Ale, but this isn’t even a good one, and there are actually some I love. I really wanted to like this more than I did. Magic Hat makes other fantastic beers, but this one was a missed opportunity. I’ll say my favourite aspect of this beer was the oh-so-subtle woodsy/spicy Ringwood yeastiness that snuck into the aftertaste.
