2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pale amber yellow color. Aroma has hay, sweat, malt, grass. Decent sweet malty body, grainy, more grass. Overall ok. Somehow I don’t see cream ale as a particularly appropriate beer for winter and a skilift...

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: MAR 6, 2003 Rerate...Apparently the distribution for this beer's extended to Conn. Lighter in color and body since I last tried it. Flavor is mild, with a hint of hops and something else. I liked this much better in the growler my buddy brought back. Old...I like this beer. Unfortunately, I think you can only get it on brewery premeses, but word has it that it's released in VT as a seasonal in 22oz bomber bottles. Any truth to this? Anyways, I really can't place Magic Hats beers based on taste alone. I was getting hints of pale ale, brown ale, and even kolsch. I guess cream ale works, but there's not a whole lot of cream ales around, so a basis of comparison is missing. One of my favorite Magic Hats. I wonder how it tastes bottled?

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Had on tap. Pretty boring ale. Tastes more like a domestic lager. Not much smell, and no unique taste. Not a fan.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours light golden yellow. Aroma is slightly fruity. High carbonation, light citrus , slight vanilla taste. Easy drinking light summer beer. Probably won’t waste a glass next time as it’s probably fine straight from the bottle.

Clear blonde pour with large frothy white head. Yeastly aroma, malt, pineapple. Estery banana aroma also. Fizzy mouthfeel, malty, estery banana flavors. Some hoppiness to finish. Lacking body-

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a dirty blonde with thin white head. Aroma is clean with just a touch of hops. Flavor is crisp and drinkable. Not too strong in either direction. Decent balance. Makes for a decent session brew.

0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
2009 Tap. Tastes like swill...typical malt liquor type beer. Looks almost clear with little to no head. Gross.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
This is almost completely forgettable. It makes absolutely no attempt to be anything other than a run of the mill ale. Definitely not the best Magic Hat can do.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light aroma of generic malt/hops and a little bit of yeast. Light bodied with a likeable smooth palate.
