Please join us in welcoming to the stage our revolving roster of FOUR features, specially formulated to entertain the palates of hop lovers worldwide. Ticket to Rye is a Rye IPA that offers the imbiber an opening act of rye spice, nicely woven into a hearty, bitter backup from an entire band of Nugget hops. The harmony created by these ingredients is just what any epic show calls for.

Not bad Rye hoppiness. Fairly short and simple. Whatís there is pretty good, but not too impressive. Definitly would order this at a bar and enjoy it, just not over similar rye offerings that I have had.

12 ounce bottle from the spring sampler. Pours a clear copper color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of caramel malts with earth and rye notes. The taste is spicy rye, herbal and pine notes, caramel malts and some toast. Well balanced. One of the better Magic Hat beers Iíve had in some time.

Pours a clear amber-orange with a small thick white head. Smells of spices lightly, citrus, pine. Taste is spiced, moderately bitter & sweet - rye, mild spruce.

Strong rye, burnt sugar and oatmeal aroma. Deep copper color with a one-finger foam. Strongly carbonated flavors of rye, burnt sugar, maple and english yeast strands. Overall, nice and flavorful. Slightly dark and robust flavors with a nice hop bitterness on the finish. Iíd give this a B+ rating.

Orange with white head. Aroma is much better than taste. Aroma is lavender and citrus. Taste is overly bitter and not anything to balance.

Bottle. Pours a mostly clear light amber-orange color with a small head that quickly fades. Somewhat unique aroma of rye spice, lavender, citrus, and some other spices that I canít identify. Taste is decent but a bit artificial. Lots of spices and lavender, light stale hops. Moderate bitterness. Dry finish with a slightly odd spicy aftertaste. Ok beer.

A bit dark and malty, some char and grain. Earthy with a bit of hops to the end. Different, but not a standout.

Pours hazy copper with a soapy beige head. The aroma has mushy caramel malt, spicy rye, undercooked dough and light nuttiness. Not much in the way of hops on the aroma for an IPA. It has a medium / full body tahtía lush with fairly soft carbonation. The flavor begins with dry caramel, some syrup, rye spice, earth, and spicy hops. the finish is dry, earthy and piny. Decent beer.

redpooba (396) - New York, USA - MAR 30, 2013
A Carmel red with a frothy white head. The rye is hot and make the hops take a back seat. It's like an untamed American rye whiskey. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Drought. Light amber color with creamy beige head showing good retention, lavender aroma, sweetish mildly hoppy taste, average carbonation, long finish. A mild IPA.
