3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Part of the Spring 2013 Magic Hat mixpack. Standard US 12 oz longneck, bad label; darkish brown, maybe slightly greenish, clear. Grassy/veggie hops over a mellow, dry, toffee malt aroma. Toasted malt, lots of edgy hops, dry, crisp, satisfying. Medium body, good carbo. Slight astringency on the lips, long hoppy finish. None of the twang that I usually get with roggenbier. I often get newbie beers in mixpacks and think, "That’s interesting." This is really well balanced, interesting, and sessionable. Publix, Bradfordville.

3.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma of dank basement. Taste is actually much better. Malty at the start with a consistent undercurrent of peppery spice. Much happier with the actual flavor. Pleasant aftertaste. I'd get one at a bar.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
Magic Hat Ticket To Rye IPA is one of those beer that just doesn’t do it for me. Not much aroma - just a slight hop essence. Pour is alright but head dissipates quickly from the medium amber color. Taste is malty going straight to bitter - no floral hop character. Ticket To Rye IPA is one train I could stand to miss.

Bottle at Sander’s place in NYC. Pours clear copper with a fine, foamy head. Kind of bready, some piney bitterness, dried fruits, gritty earth. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Some dry dirt to finish, mellow rye tang, toast, herbal hops. Not great.

a marvelous aroma of Grapefruit hop and some malt. flavor comes off as perfume perhaps and a bit of sterno with intense sweet grapefruit hop. this brew mellows after some time as the malt makes its presence. sweet and tangy with a short finish i like this brew and it’s cheaper than ladies cologne.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 12 oz bottle - part of their Spring Fever variety pak. Dark orange leading to brown pour with a sticky off-white head that leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma has some peanut butter accents, a hint of mint. Full-bodied flavor with some minty-rye notes. a bit of nuttiness, some brief citrus bitter notes. Decently thick mouthfeel. Pretty solid.
