Bottle. Pours orange/copper with an off-white head. Aroma was toasted malts, nuts and some light caramel. Flavor was slightly sweet with caramel, toasted malts a touch of toffee and some nuttiness. A decent vienna

Bottled. Poured medium amber with a short, easily-resuscitated off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet caramel and toffee notes with hints of molasses and vanilla.. dry, toasted grassy hops around.. I enjoyed the yeast they used in here. The flavor found more of the sweet caramel and molasses at the core.. bright earthy hoppage and vanilla surrounded.. light peppery yeast laced throughout.. spicy on the finish, picking up touches of tobacco and peppery notes. Light-medium bodied with at least moderate carbonation on the palate.. spicy with a solid flow across the palate.. well done.

Bottle. Sudsy head over a golden body with aromas of grass, lemon, some faint honey and a little dough. This is pretty light on the palate, with crisp grass and lemon and a bready malt presence. Pretty decent for the style.

12 oz. bottle, $9/sixpack at Binny’s. Sweet, rich malty smell under the cap. Pours amber with a yellowing head that doesn’t fill up half the glass like other beers; or maybe my glass is finally "beer clean." Smell from glass is of a bit of caramel malt, Hops are just slightly flowery here, nice. Taste is quite tickly. Some spices or even herbs; they don’t say any of those were added, so presumably from hops and the ferment. More interesting version of a Vienna. Bubbly carbonation all the way through, and a bit of lace on the sides of the glass.

12oz bottle, pours dark amber with a one finger off-white/light tan head that reduces to a small ring and doesn’t leave much lacing. Aroma is mild but contians caramel malt, bready, a little yeasty, some cereal and grains. Flavor is caramel malt, a little sweet, with some mild hop bitterness on the finish. Mouthfeel is oily, medium bodied, clean finish. This is pretty good for the style, a bit better than Yuengling, but for a price. I’d like to try Brooklyn Lager to compare.

Aroma is muted with a slight maltly character. Body is a dark brown with slightly toasty flavors. Palate is very watery and rather boring. Overall Meh.

Dark amber/light brown pour with a minimal head. Aroma holds toast, chestnut, grain, and a touch of caramel. Flavor is comparable, with more sweet malt, caramel, and cereal grain. Palate is fairly light, with a bit of sweet and toasty bitterness to it. Meh overall.

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2010 The shame is in how beautiful the appearance and the aroma are. Leather malt nose. Deep amber, good head. Malty satisfaction, all the way around. Yes, that means 360• Degrees. Malty taste. Only a little bit of hops.

Deep amber hue with a nicely sized, well proportioned beige head. The lacing is actually quite beautiful. The aroma is grainy with notes of cereal, caramel malt, and a slight hop bitterness. The flavor is much more robust and full than the aroma would suggest. Sweet caramel malt, and further proliferations of the cereal grains make up the malt component, while a subtle spicy hop character rounds out the bittering. The palate is is medium in its body with some astringency and full pillowy carbonation.Tasty, but not out of the ordinary.

My initial thought on the first sip was "pungent!" But after having a couple, it started to grow on me. There’s a grassy scent to the brew. Taste is fairly well-balanced. Slight hoppy bitterness at the front that gets smoothed away by the malts at the end. It’s very easy to drink and certainly interesting. Pretty solid overall.
