3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma is spiced bread, hard to describe. The flavor is spicy bread but not rye, malts and a hint of hops in the finish. Hard to place the flavor for this, pretty good.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark copper with about a half finger of off-white head. Aroma of caramel, a little grass and a little sour green apple. Taste is light bitter. Very malty. Mostly caramel with a little grass and some roasty nuts. Medium bodied with a somewhat creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Much better than I was expecting from Magic Hat actually.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
3/4 pint bottle, 5.1% A/V
Pours a deep ruby brown, thin tan head. Aroma is a little spicy, leathery and chocolatey. The taste is chocolatey and roasty mainly with some slight coffee notes. Goes down smooth and leaves a nice full palate. Not a bad beer, though nothing amazing either.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
A light brown ale with a white frothy head. Good aroma that raises hope. The flavor is too unbalanced and spicy to let it get a higher rating.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at the brewery in South Burlington, VT. Pours a clear amber colored body with a finger-width, frothy, beige head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is a bit of a sour lager yeast initially, but once that subsides there is some grainy malts with a light caramel sweetness, a touch a grass, and a hint of toast. Flavor is better. Toasted bread, a light caramel, a few lager fruits, and a light grass as this finishes dry with a clean, very light bitterness. Shorter aftertaste following a light, crisp body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, not a bad Vienna, but nothing special. A bit of toast and grains with a light sweetness and a balancing grassy hop. Okay.
