Nutty spice aroma. Medium clear golden brown with a light tan head. The nuttiness comes through in the taste also. Some brown sugar sweetness balanced with a touch of bitterness. Not a big fan of the peanut overtones that seem to be everywhere in this brew. The spice sweetness does help balance it out. The finish is is on the sweet side. Not terrible but I don’t think I’d seek this out again.

Yeah. Just not a big fan here. I guess it’s ok for a lager but who cares. It still kinda sux. Smells of soy beans and peanuts. Corn, cereal, grain. Tastes like a boring sweetish lager. A little twinge of bitterness on the back end, but not really. Meh

I had this on tap at the Eddie George Grill on 3/7/12. It pours a clear copper to amber with a medium white head. It has an interesting aroma of herbs (maybe) and possibly honey. The taste is sweet with a slightest bitter. The body is light and thin with a sweet finish. I do not this beer is anything special but it is a decent beer.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a brownish amber with an average off-white head. Aroma of malt, citrus, and hops. Taste is malt, yeast, citrus, and mild hops. Nice seasonal.

Pour was dark orange. There wasn’t much aroma. The flavor was just off...like overrule nuts...if that makes any sense. Some banana phenol type flavors. Weird, and not in a good way.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2012 Pours a hazy orange. Smell is apple, citrus, licorice, and caramel. Taste is sweet citrus and caramel with some licorice hints. Medium carbonation, thick feel.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear amber body with a small fizzy off-white head that retained pretty well. The nose is way too nutty and grainy for the style, smells like hazelnuts or peanuts. The flavor is very off for the style too, I can’t get the taste of peanuts out of my mind, especially on the finish. None of the sweet and clean munich malt character that I want from a Vienna. Light to medium bodied with a bit of stickiness. This is pretty awful, even from Magic Hat. They ought to call this Peanut Beer.

Bottle pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma shows sweet caramel and grassy hops. Flavor shows the same with a little bit of toast stepping in as well some earthy/herbal character as well. Overall body is moderate and the finish is lightly bitter.

Light, malty lager. MIld grain aroma. Thanks to Dave for this, btw. A little caramel. It makes me think of a light marzen. Cute label. Lightly hopped. A nice, easy drinkin’ brew, but nothing more.

Bottle. warm amber. Tight, lasting head. For my palate, there is too much caramel and not enough well-developed bread malt character. The over reliance on caramel flavor comes across as being very sweet and simple. Some more toastiness would be helpful, lifting it up a bit. But it’s pleasant enough and this is not a style we see very often.
