2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours white thin head, dark amber color, not very high in carbonation. Aroma is sweet malt, some biscuit with grassy floral hints. But somewhere in between comes this unpleasant smell of standing water. Taste is sweet toasted malt, some cookie. Pleasant bitterness.

Amber. Smell is malty, sweet, with a background of something else. Read another rating that described it as biscotti-like. That is spot on. Taste is biscuity with a sweet finish that is berderline too sweet. Not bad but not one of my faves from magic hat.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle pour is copper red/brown, just a touch of haze, with a thin tan head that quickly dissipates to a ring. Pleasant aromas of sweet malts, a bit of grass and pine nuts. Carbonation was fizzy and soft. Flavors were very good, mild roasted nuts, brown sugar, quality malts and a bit of mild spice. Very minimal hops presence. Finish was smooth and satisfying. I like this beer, and could easily finish off another one in short time. Overall a very good quality brew of this style, that I enjoyed alot.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Underwhelming but drinkable. I prefer #9. Nonetheless, this pours a slightly cloudy copper with an off-white head that subsides but persists as lace. Slight toasted malt aroma. Medium-bodied mouth feel. The taste primarily has an understated malt profile, mildly bitter-sweet, with hops faintly detectable. Most interesting, at least to me, was the finish which leaves one with the distinct taste of chocolate malt at the back of the tongue.

Nice balance of fruit and malt here. Nothing earth shattering but a solid beer. About average for Magic Hat

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle drank out of a medium sized snifter glass. A stellar aroma of freshly cut fire wood. The apearance was a pleasant copper color with a half inch head. Flavor; light, woody, and slightly sweet. Palate; extremely light and refreshing, but it was this beer’s weakest attribute. will drink again and re-rate.

Light malt, no hops. Smells like an adjunct with some malt additive. Looks like iced tea. Meh. Fairly standard Magic Hat crap.
