I WANT TO LIKE MAGIC HAT, FROM THE LOOKS OF IT ,IT SEEMS LIKE ITS A GOOD BREWERY YET NOTHING IVE TRIED OF THEIRS HAS BEEN AT ALL ABOVE AVERAGE. THIS BEER IS NOT AN EXCEPTION, IT HAS A REDISH COPPER COLOR TO IT WITH A SLIGHT SOAPY HEAD. SEEMINGLY NO AROMA. TASTES SLIGHTLY OF TOASTY NUTTY CRISP MALTS , NOT BAD AND EASY TO DRINK BUT NOTHING EXCEPTIONAL.

Pours white thin head, dark amber color, not very high in carbonation. Aroma is sweet malt, some biscuit with grassy floral hints. But somewhere in between comes this unpleasant smell of standing water. Taste is sweet toasted malt, some cookie. Pleasant bitterness.

a nice red color. a very light aroma with hints of caramel. a light flavor with light of breadiness. the finish has an interesting flavor that I can’t place that sits on your tongue for a LONG time. maybe hints of anise.

Amber. Smell is malty, sweet, with a background of something else. Read another rating that described it as biscotti-like. That is spot on. Taste is biscuity with a sweet finish that is berderline too sweet. Not bad but not one of my faves from magic hat.

12oz Bottle To Pint Glass. Pours a great bronze color with white head. Aromas of caramel malts. Flavor is also a bit malty as well. well worth the two bucks

Bottle pour is copper red/brown, just a touch of haze, with a thin tan head that quickly dissipates to a ring. Pleasant aromas of sweet malts, a bit of grass and pine nuts. Carbonation was fizzy and soft. Flavors were very good, mild roasted nuts, brown sugar, quality malts and a bit of mild spice. Very minimal hops presence. Finish was smooth and satisfying. I like this beer, and could easily finish off another one in short time. Overall a very good quality brew of this style, that I enjoyed alot.

Underwhelming but drinkable. I prefer #9. Nonetheless, this pours a slightly cloudy copper with an off-white head that subsides but persists as lace. Slight toasted malt aroma. Medium-bodied mouth feel. The taste primarily has an understated malt profile, mildly bitter-sweet, with hops faintly detectable. Most interesting, at least to me, was the finish which leaves one with the distinct taste of chocolate malt at the back of the tongue.
