Bottle. Slightly hazy reddish orange pour with a smaller off-white head. Aroma is grassy, earthy, and caramel. Medium to lighter palate, noticeable carbonation. Taste is caramel malt, hay, and some hop kicker that actually works pretty well.

Cask. Pours amber with a thin head. A hint of floral spicy hops in the aroma with a touch of sweetness. The flavor has a bready malty base, and floral hops. A light earthy note as well. Very well balanced and clean tasting.

since the regular lineups from MH have started coming out, my enthusiasm has dropped... a vienna? ok... light ruby, low head .. light maple and some caramel .. why so many local weather updates?light bitterness, but its a vienna , so who cares.. . simple.. lackluster .. has an annoying aftertaste .. . Remember that show ’My Three Sons’? It’d be funny if it was called ’My One Dad’... wait, what?

(Rating #2916)

Thanks to mar for sharing this beer. The beer pours an orange-brown color with a white head. The aroma is basic malt with some light hopping. The flavor is toffee and bready malts with some very light hops. A relatively nice lager. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

PorterPounder (5344) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - FEB 5, 2010
Tallahassee, Fl. - Market Square Liquors - 12 oz bottle - part of a Spring Mixed 12 pack. Darkish copper pour with a light off-white head. Neutral aroma with just a hint of nuttiness and some roasted malt. Subtly sweet flavor with some toasted bread notes, some nuts, a bit of muted citrus, but overall a bit "mushy" and damp. Mouthfeel, rather plain.

Beershine (5201) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - MAR 8, 2012
Bottle. warm amber. Tight, lasting head. For my palate, there is too much caramel and not enough well-developed bread malt character. The over reliance on caramel flavor comes across as being very sweet and simple. Some more toastiness would be helpful, lifting it up a bit. But it’s pleasant enough and this is not a style we see very often.
