It pours a hazy amber with a thin white head that doesn’t leave lacing. The aroma is actually pretty enticing but nothing in particular stands out. The taste is nice and crisp up front but the spruce finish is nasty! It is quite shocking at first and really doesn’t get much better. Certainly memorable but not exactly in a good way!

Light amber color, very faint aroma of hops and spice.....very disappointing taste and finish almost like it disappears instantly. Sour aftertaste.

355mL. Clear lighter amber, medium off white foam. Okay lace. Nose is sweet orange, marmalade, pine, resin, biscuit. Taste is metallic, soapy, drained, then very medicinal spruce. Palate is diacetyl and soap. Ick.

12 oz. bottle poured to my 1/2 pint taster showing a hazed, orangy amber color, with a soft white, bubbles & cream head that quickly reduced to a thin ring and light, bubbly film, but left some clingy spots & patches of lacing. The aroma was light yeast, light spice, some woody/resiny spruce, followed by light medicinal hints. The flavor was similar, plus mild malt, moderate earthy & dry bitterness that lingered into the finish. A little less than medium bodied, different, but not a fan of the medicinal nature of the spruce. A sessionably crisp brew nonetheless.

Aroma of pine and toasted caramels, this ESB pours a cloudy red-orange with mild lacing and a thin white head. The spruce tips give it a slight citrus quality, which works well with the subtle spices, and mild bitterness.

Just smells bitter. Very bland. Poured a nice amber color. Small head with some staying power. Very sprucey. Not a huge a fan. Give it to your next friend who comes over for a footy game

Bottle. Pale dirty orange pour with minimal head. Grassy, light spruce, and a hint of cat pee. Not good. Not much from these guys is.

Bottle from WInter Variety Pack. Clear amber pour, minimal head. Sweet aroma of pine and pale malt. Light bodied, immaculately clean, crisp, earthy spruce, hint of patchouli, really interesting and well done. Very easy drinking, has the perfect amount of spruce.

Cloudy Amber color out of the bottle. Earthy aroma notes of pine. Taste is hoppy with a grassy/pine finish. OK beer.

This was a nice idea but the execution was off. The pine taste is a bit astringent and tastes a little funky. I have had other spruce beers and this was not on par.
