A collaboration with the Fabulous Brodies Beers of London, in true Brodies style we brewed a fruity twist on a modern classic . An all pale malt body and balanced bitterness creates the background to let the fruit shine. We added loads of richly sweet mangos in the boil and again in fermentation to accentuate the tropical fruity character of the Citra hops added in the hop back and in conditioning. Deeply fruity yet deliciously crisp and satisfying, all hail The Great Alphonso!

Draught @ William K Annankatu, Helsinki

Pours yellowish orange with a smooth head. Aroma of juicy mango notes, caramel, exotic fruits and maltiness. Taste is smooth, juicy and fruity with a touch of caramely maltiness, sweet mango and berry notes. Finish is a bit sticky and stuffy with hints of exotic fruits and mild hoppiness. Okay, juicy but a bit stuffy pale ale.

Draught, Liverpool Psych Fest 2013. Clear golden looks with a small white head. Lovely tropical fruit hoppy goodness in the beak. The flavour had further cracking piney hop bitterness in tandem with some pale malts and notes of mango. Dry bitter finish. Extremely drinkable. Tip top collaboration and hands down the best beer I’ve drunk at a music festival !

Really nice refreshing American pale ale. Hazy yellow orange poor. Minimal head but good lacing down the glass. Aroma of slight grape fruit and lemon, very subtle. Flavour is just refreshing great summer beer.

Recorded 15.11.2013, suboptimal conditions. Very nicely hazy orange, pleasant head. Very natural. Aroma: Grapefruit, not much malt in smell. Taste: Sweetness emerges, light at first. Some grapefruit bitterness that stays. Palate: Very nice palate. Long bitterness. Pleasant.

Keg @ Joshua brooks in mid feb 2013, light medium bitter pale ale with low carbonation very fruity but not necessarily just mango a bit of the ubiquitous pineapple and grapefruit. Quite refreshing and tasty. Good.

On tap at Dean Swift near Tower Bridge. Chestnut brown with good lacing; strong, distinctive and slightly unpleasant sweaty aroma. Strongly bitter in taste with dark chocolate, malt, huge hops. Yes yes yes, good ale.
