COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Say hello to the Bearded Lady, our uncompromisingly big and beautiful Imperial Stout. Born from our Dark Arts recipe she uses masses of magical malts to deliver deep chocolate, rich coffee and vinous berry flavours all complemented by a balanced yet subtly spicy hop profile. Powerful, robust, intriguing; yet decadently smooth and sumptuous, the lady demands respect…

Bottle at Haandfestival 2012. Very dark, tan head. Chocolate, cocoa, a hint of tar. Smooth, soft, velvety. Nice stuff, but the barrel aged version is even better!

Bottled. A black beer with a dissipating beige coloured head. A very rich full bodied stout. Not over roast or burnt but slick malts and good fruits. Nice fruity hoppiness in the nose. Fossil fuel smokiness in the mouth. High bitterness and a long finish. Classy and tasty.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Dark, with a brown head. Strong spicy malt, with hard, but not overbearing glassy hops. Tart finish. It’s good, that’s for sure.

AROMA: coffee, roasty, nuts, hint of caramel, alcohol APPEARANCE: black, minimal head, brown TASTE: light sweetness, heavy bitterness, PALATE: medium body, slick, soft carbonation, astringent, bitter, long finish, OVERALL: good stout that mostly relies on roasted coffee with an incredibly long bitter finish. Downfall is its high ABV, which it cannot hide.

Bottle, bought @ Mybrewerytap.
Deep black with a big, creamy, beige head. Great lacings and duration. Aroma has chocolate, soft smoke, coffee, blackberry, softly roasted. Low carbonation, lovely creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has deep seated dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, sharpish dryness. Lovely roasted malts, mildly vinious. Very dry finish. Lingering malty, chocolate, cold-destilled coffee. Super-lovely.
