COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cannonball is an India Pale Ale in the true tradition, high in alcohol and massively hopped to survive a long sea voyage. We don’ t want you to wait though, crack the cap and let the flavour explode on your palate. Tropically fruity, resinous hops compete against a sweet malty backbone, while a rasping bitterness builds to a mouth puckering crescendo. Our hop bomb might just blow you away…

22.1.2015. Clear pale orange. Intense hoppy aroma with citrus, pine, passionfruit. Taste is quite strong, strong malty backbone, grapefruit, passionfruit, pine. Unfortunately alcohol pushes through a bit.

Hazy orange and bitter. Really bitter. Almost excessively dry on the mouth but with a rewarding taste.

Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a thick cream colored head. The smell is grapefruit, citrus, mango. The taste is sharp citrus, grapefruit, a touch of tropical fruit ending dry and a bit bitter. Light + in body with fine carbonation.

On Draught
Pours a pale golden color with a good head and nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma has a lot of fruity hops primarily melon but certainly featuring some citrus as well. It smells a touch sweet but super pungent and inviting.

The flavor packs a nice but fairly mellow bitterness and a light sweetness up front but finishes fairly dry. There is certainly a little cantaloupe and citrus zest, some leafy hops, and a mild alcohol presence. Loads of big fruity hop character here.

Easily one of the more enjoyable imported IPAs I’ve ever had, blew away any expectations... I’m sure this is remarkable @ UK pub.

A fabulous beer. Intense citrous flavours, but not over bitter. A lingering aftertaste.

Clear yellow beer with a nice crisp foam head. A clear citrus nose with lemon, lime, and sweet pineapple. Long bitter taste with fruit inspired flavor. Just a very good ipa, clear direction with nothing that disturbs. Maybe a little imbalanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

7.4% ABV. IPA. Nice respectable head of small creamy foamy bubbles. Nose is full of fresh pine, citrus and passionfruit. Nice carbonation in the first mouthful, setting up the palate to receive the full body contact of bitter hops sliding up against you. Nice clean finish with a notes of green papaya. There is a nice lingering aroma of pine left on the palate and in your nose. The solid malty foundation is respectable in every way. Very pleasant ride. Goes on the favorites list. A very drinkable if somewhat limp-wristed (in the aroma hop department) ale. It’s ok, cannonball, we love you anyway.

On tap at ’t Klooster. Hazy yellow with a white head. Fruity aroma of hops, citrus, lychee, sweet candy. Taste is bitter sweet hoppy, malts, citrus fruity with a bitter sweet aftertaste. Not bad.
