Can at home. Pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is mango, citrus, biscuit sweetness. Taste is citrus, bready malts, pineapple, pine, long dry bitter finish. Balance is a bit all over the place but really enjoyed the hop kick from this.

Pours a slightly hazed, orange-golden color, with a huge, fluffy white head.
Smells of mango, ripe orange, papaya and a note of sappy lemon peel, balanced by white bread malts. From its citraic quality, a pleasant, grass defined dankness comes up, enriched by prickly kiwi and water melon shell. The aromas in this are very well nuanced, creating a multi layered, refreshing fruitiness.
Has a medium carbonation, while its mouthfeel isn’t overly creamy, due to a crystal characteristic cutting through, distracting from the beers soda pop effervescence, by adding harsher stony minerals. It is not very refreshing too, as the malts create a heavier bodied, almost boozy finish, producing a couterproductive interplay.
Tastes of profound, cakey malts and citraic hops, while a bubbly carbonation grinds over the tongue. Out of the omnipresent malt sweetness slowly develops a slick, part herbal, part fruity bitterness, almost numbing my tongue, as both reach their peak. No harmony between those ingredients is to be found in this, while there is a subtle layer of orange and papaya underneath the omnipresent malt coating. Finishes with a metallic carbonation, painfully transforming into a slick, rusty bitterness, slayed by sweet malts in the end.
While the nose comes well together, the beers actual taste is a huge let down. I don’t got no problem with a malt defined ipa, for as long as the hops are used in a genuine way, opening up the beers potential. In this case, almost the opposite is happening, since both major players try to outclass each other, resulting in an unbalanced, sweet mess.

From Can. On the nose delicious grapefruits and tropic bitterness of the hops as expected. To drink I felt this however was rather thin for the ABV, and aside from the hop hit the lightly bisculty body lacked any depth or lasting flavours. One for the hop heads but I think there are many better balanced hop monsters out there.

330 ml can from Ales by Mail.
Amber, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, off-white head.
Aroma of citrus, passion fruit, apricot, mango, orange, some resin, subtle pine, some earth, biscuit.
Tastes of citrus, grapefruit, resin, passion fruit, peach, orange, grass, earth, biscuit.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a quite lively carbonation.
Finishes bitter, dry, zesty, resinous, piney, a bit grassy, a bit malty.
Very nice. Lovely nose, with loads of fruits, taste is pretty straight and bitter, with a nice dry and biting finish. Quite light bodied, hiding the ABV very well. I would have preferred the taste resembling more the nose, but still a really enjoyable, refreshing, hop-forward IPA.
