COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cannonball is an India Pale Ale in the true tradition, high in alcohol and massively hopped to survive a long sea voyage. We don’ t want you to wait though, crack the cap and let the flavour explode on your palate. Tropically fruity, resinous hops compete against a sweet malty backbone, while a rasping bitterness builds to a mouth puckering crescendo. Our hop bomb might just blow you away…

Tap at Mikkeller Bar. Almost clear, deep golden, small of white head. Greasy hoppy nose: Resinous, grapefruity, peachy. Some caramel, too. Flavor basically follows the nose with a little minty nose as an extra. Harsh bitter finish, but the sweetness of the malts balances the stuff nicely.

On tap at Café Sara. Medium, creamy off-white head. Light amber, cloudy body. Hoppy aroma of soap, alcohol, citrus and flowers. Bittersweet (literally) in the mouth. Dry finish. One off the best IPA’s I’ve tasted.

Sampler from tap at Haandøl 2013. Pours a clear golden body with a creamy fingerthick white head. Pollen, sprucy fruit syrup and perfume on the nose smooth to drink. Medium to full bodied. Mellow bitter hop juice that leaves the tongue dry.

On tap at the Furnace Inn
This was a guest tap during a Bank Holiday festival. Proof that you don’t have to be American to do fine American style IPAs this stands up to most anything I’ve tried from the West Coast. If you find it on draft somewhere don’t hesitate to order at least a half pint.

Aroma / Appearance - The cloudy citrus base holds lots of mysteries. A soft white head only adds to the beauty. Glazed oranges and other citrus notes heighten the bouquet to the next level of awesomeness. It smells like walking through a grove of orange trees in Florida on a dry sunny afternoon.

Flavor / Palate - The brilliant orange flavors cut right to the point. A sweet touch of floral hops adds depth and character that sets this apart from your run of the mill IPA. The only flaw I can find is that after a while a saccharine touch clings to the finish. Even so this is worth trying fresh and on draft.
