Cannonball is an India Pale Ale in the true tradition, high in alcohol and massively hopped to survive a long sea voyage. We don’ t want you to wait though, crack the cap and let the flavour explode on your palate. Tropically fruity, resinous hops compete against a sweet malty backbone, while a rasping bitterness builds to a mouth puckering crescendo. Our hop bomb might just blow you away…

Bottle at home, cask and keg at Sheffield Tap 20/07/11. Plenty of hot punch fruitbowl action going on but the citrics get rather flighty. Needs nailing to firmer backbone.

Can from Kihoskh. Aroma is tropical fruits, lovely. Juicy goodness with loads of tropical fruits like mango and pineapple. Grapefruit and apricot as well. But a superb malt backbone to this hop attack and a nice spiciness at the end. A really solid IPA, well done!

The aroma is full of hops, tropical fruits such as mango, pineapple and pine notes. The color is hazy golden with a minimal, white and frothy head. The taste is full of hops, mango, pineapple, pine, citrus, passionfruit and sweet malts. A nice beer!

Pours hazy yellow, medium white head and excellent lacing. Strong hoppy aroma of citrus and pine. Taste gets all the fruity hoppiness with tropical fruits, resin, lemon, that overwhelm a still strong maltiness. Enjoyed every sip. Excellent IPA!

Keg tap at the Euston Tap. Dark gold, slightly hazy (at least in this light), very little head. Citrus in the aroma but there’s also a notable vegetal/PVC component. Tastes quite bitter, a hint of citrus sweetness but the bitterness wins out. Finish is fairly acrid with suggestions of watercress. Certainly drinkable but not Magic Rock’s best and from my experience I’m surprised at the high ratings.

Can from Rich182, thanks! Canned on June 12, 2016, drunk 8/5/16.
Large, foamy/rocky, off-white head tops a lightly hazy, golden-amber body. Retention is strong.
Oh ya. Juicy fruits galore, with deep cherry-ruby red grapefruit notes and strong citrus through the middle. Light earthiness and bready malts, but distracting little from the hops. With warming/breathing it just gets softer and juicier. The more aggressive citric/pine notes never leave but are kept in balance by the malts and tropical juice notes, and as well, they in turn keep the beer from getting too "sweet" or fruity. No alcohol noted, nor flaw.
Spicy citrus and dank notes open up the flavor with soft, well-attenuated malts providing light caramel and strong honey notes. These are easily dispersed by the strong bitterness. Citrus of all kinds adds juice, flavor and crisp bitterness. Tons of mango and pineapple in there as well. Not quite a juice bomb, and with more bitterness and malt character than New England IPAs, but a really nice hybrid. Never gets fatiguing (the resin) nor alcoholic and certainly very clean. Not to mention the beer was this good at 2 months old....Nice! Hope to try more from here!

Draught at Sorbon. Orange, rather hazy, quickly disappearing head. Aroma of tropical fruit, mango and durian. Fruity, dry taste. Medium malt and bitterness.

Buenísima. Buen aroma y nada más entrar en la boca se percibe el lúpulo. Tiene además un sabor largo. Es fresca, con un toque cítrico y amargol. Me recuerda bastante a Punk IPA.
