COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cannonball is an India Pale Ale in the true tradition, high in alcohol and massively hopped to survive a long sea voyage. We don’ t want you to wait though, crack the cap and let the flavour explode on your palate. Tropically fruity, resinous hops compete against a sweet malty backbone, while a rasping bitterness builds to a mouth puckering crescendo. Our hop bomb might just blow you away…

Bottle at home, cask and keg at Sheffield Tap 20/07/11. Plenty of hot punch fruitbowl action going on but the citrics get rather flighty. Needs nailing to firmer backbone.

Murky burned orange with a medium crisp white head. A hefty whack of pineapple, mango and punchy pine on the nose. Mainly pine and grapefruit flavours here, with a slightly sweet and subtle biscuit base malt backbone. Solid but not overly complex IPA. Thick and velvety mouthfeel, nice and syrupy. Good IPA - doesn’t match the hype though.

J’aime "vraiment très beaucoup". L’alcool a du sens et soutient l’amertume. "Grassy and resinous": oui ! Et très nette et rafraîchissante dans son expression. Une caisse de 50 pour cet été SVP. Merci

Unusual IPA, has a nice sweetness up front which gives was to a grassy finish. Interesting IPA that’s a little different to the norm. Would certainly get on tap but it’s a bit pricey in cans

Can. Somewhat murky orange with a white head. Aroma of mandarins, grapefruit, pine, pepper. A little bread. Moderately sweet with loads of citrus and some mango. Mentholish pine comes in along with fairly strong bitterness to clamp down towards the end. Nice but forgettable.

From can. Don’t know if the canned time was to much for this very hopped ipa. Lacked the aroma I was hopping for, but there was pine, tropical fuits and orange. Tasted bready and sweet in a medium body sip with a bitter finish. It’s an american ipa done so well. Earthy, confortable, big beer.

What a wonderfull ipa, Plenty of tropical aroma, some mango, a ans, piney and grassy bitterness, some zest citrus presence, and a lot of aroma. Lot’s going on this, very wonderfull flavour, sweet malty biscuity start, a lot of mango and ananas, sweet melon, but citrus bitterness clean the palate and a lot of fresh Grass complete the flavour. Sticky, creamy and full bodied, this ipa is umbelievable.
