Pale, hazy, tight sticky head. Odd chemical aroma, a bit antiseptic or cleaning fluid. But also also sweet fruity hops. Much nicer in the mouth. Full and smooth body, soft carbonation. Cakey doughy malts, and fleshy fruit hops - quite peachy. Finish has a nice green full hop bite. Good balance. Very smooth and full. Was the last full glass from the cask.

Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, pale malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, perfume, citrus, lemon - lime, fresh fruit, vomit notes. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, fresh citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20111205]

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell. Half-pint shared with Finn. Clear golden coloured body. Spots to the glass. Sweaty hops to the nose. Sweet grapefruits as well as tropical fruits in a well-balanced flavour profile. Smooth bitter ending. Morish and easy to drink (London, 01.11.2012).

Whirlwind of haze took it’s time to settle into a latte white head on a sandy yellow body and a mellow amount of hop in the nose. Expectant prang of exotic hop from Curious floated by the breadth of New Zealand arsenal from the initial taste didn’t leave much room in a buttery mouthfeel and dewed vine palate. The finish is seductively dry, a hook of alcohol without leaving an mark on the linger.

Would love to have been able to spend some time getting a few pints of this over a few hours - you can see why it doesn’t last longer where it’s landed recently. Smashes of hop with a tantalising finish, what every session ale should aspire to.

Cask, Bow Bar, Edinburgh, November 2012

Few pints at t’Sparrow, Bradford. Clear, light pale ale with very nice gooseberries and grapefruit bitterness. Full of flavour for abv. Excellent session ale.

Cask at North Bar Halloween. Pale golden blonde, thick white head. Light grapefruit, some pineapple, tropical juicy fruits on the nose. Soft subtle malt character, just enough to keep it balanced. Big juicy juicy grapefruit hops, soft but rich bitter finish. Fantastic. Much prefer this to the original.

Old Fountain. Almost clear gold beer, little white head. Smooth palate with moderate carbonation. Hops have mild earthy and skunky traits. Traces of pine and citrus (lemon and lime) and a little minty coolness. Interesting! Finishes semi dry. Mildly bitter aftertaste.
