19/04/2013 Ma che siete venuti a fà (tap). Dorata limpida, schiuma bianca abbondante e persistente. Aroma di malto, luppolo, note agrumate, leggermente erbacee. In bocca amara decisa ma non eccessiva, ottima session beer ma con parecchia sostanza. Corpo leggero, carbonazione buona. Pale Ale all’americana ma con un tocco inglese ben riconoscibile. Eccellente.

Cask at York Tap. Pours gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is quite citrus. Med minus body. Flavor is very citrus and malt is very light. Comes across quite bitter. Almost getting hop burn. Excellent.

Cask @ hanging bat, pours clear golden, urinish, no head. Aroma is grapefruit, yeast fart. Taste is very manageable hops, malty backbone. Very sessionable & suits it's Abv

Cask at The Victoria, Birmingham. Poured a clear light yellow with a thin white head. The aroma is surprisingly absent apart from a distant hint of malt. The flavour is medium to weak bitter with a little malt and not much else. Not impressed really. It’s by far the worst beer I’ve had from Magic Rock, who generally deliver ales of amazing quality.

Cask pour at Craft Beer Co. Whoo-ha, another killer session brew from Magic Rock. This one pale and lemony with a fine citrus aroma and a crisp, grassy finish. Bready malts provide substance and a bit of heft, but it’s light, pert, and elegantly refreshing overall.

Cask @ Akkurat. Pours clear golden with a small white head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is slightly sweet and herbal with bread, lemon zest, grass, lemon balm, orange zest and hints of dill. Taste is sweet, bitter and herbal with bread, grapefruit rinds, pine, lemon balm, basil and moist grass. Mouthfeel is flat, slightly round, slightly astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter with bread, grapefruit rinds, orange peal, grass and pine.
