COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark Arts blends 4 malts and bags of whole hops to deliver a decadently deep and indulgent experience. A luxuriously smooth mouthfeel, is followed by spicy hop notes and full flavours of chocolate, liquorice, blackberries and figs. The finish is rich and satisfying with a lingering roasted bitterness. Our stout will convert you to the dark side.

On tap at HaandFestival 2012. It pours an almost black body topped by a minimal-sized, rocky, dark beige head. Roasted and burnt nose with some prunes, definitely not in the American way of doing it. Burnt, almost bonfire-like flavor with burnt toast and dark dried fruits. Very dry on the palate, medium bodied and nicely carbonated. An easy drinkable beer that doesn’t impress me. That’s probably because the dry, English-style stouts isn’t my preferred stout style. 120505

Tap at Haand Festival 2012. Black body, frothy beige head. Aroma of coffee, licorice, fruit. Roasty taste with earthly hops, raisins and chocolate. Good hop bitterness, with a hoppy touch through the beer.

Cask at the Cask, Pimlico - 22/06/12. Black with a little brown edgeing when held to the light and a creamy tan head. Nose is roasted malts, slightly burnt and coffee. Burnt roasted coffee, dark chocolate and malts in the taste. Medium bodied and drinkable, perhaps a little too much in the way of burnt notes for me.
