COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark Arts blends 4 malts and bags of whole hops to deliver a decadently deep and indulgent experience. A luxuriously smooth mouthfeel, is followed by spicy hop notes and full flavours of chocolate, liquorice, blackberries and figs. The finish is rich and satisfying with a lingering roasted bitterness. Our stout will convert you to the dark side.

On keg at the Red Squirrel. Appearance -opaque black with a nice crema head. Nose -dark chocolate and roast. Some boozy notes. Taste - more alcohol and chocolate. Palate - medium to full bodied with a creamy texture and a long finish which is quite sweet but brings relative balance. Overall - I think this is somewhere between a semi imperial stout and a porter.

Cask at Harrild & Sons (Farringdon Rd). Purs pitch black with a thick tan head. Lovely aroma of dark chocolate and coffee. Strong coffee malt taste with a bit of smokiness and sweetness on the finish. Good stout.

Cask @The Vintage, Leith. While i have had this a few times i’d never rated it. Pours black with a tan head. Huge chocolate malty nose, nutty, chestnuts perhaps. Coffee and chocolate on the palate a wonderful sweet aftertaste, this is what beer should be.

Poured deep dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, dark fruit, roast malt and some coffee. Medium body, flavour much as the aroma, ad liquorice.

Cask at CBC Clerkenwell. An absolute top drop this. Perfect balance between chocolate, roast and sweetness. Has a little liquorice in there which adds that touch more. Very balanced and full bodied. Great beer

Half pint at Leeds Brewery Tap. As dark as night, absolutely no light to be seen through this beer. Dispersing tan head. Nose predominantly black currant with licorice. This is lost in the initial taste but returns on the smokey finish. Taste includes coffee, smoke and oak. Another fantastic Brew from Magic Rock!!
