COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
High Wire is our tribute to the Pale Ales of the West Coast of America, beers unapologetically hop forward in character. Let your taste buds walk this test of balance. Mango, lychee and lip-smacking grapefruit flavours harmonise against a smoothly composed malt base, which develops into a crisply bitter finish. Are you ready for our tightrope of taste. .?

Cask at Reading Beer Festival 2012. Pours a light gold colour with a thin white head, plenty of fruit and hops in the aroma, the taste is smooth with light citrus with a long dry bitter finish.

Good clingy white foam on a pale beer. White pepper and green apple hops are all over the nose. Some hints of a tropical nature. Some bright hop flavour up front, not too much bitterness and a long dusty oatmeal finish. Balanced and super sessionable.

Cask conditioned at The Craft Beer Co. Brighton. Hazy gold with white head. Crisp, full, hoppy beer, pink grapefruit notes, zesty, fragrant, lasting. Nice beer buzz throughout, good pint in a very decent place.

Small white head. Hazy yellow body. Tropical fruit and resin aroma with sugary catnip notes. Dry-sweet kiwi gooseberry taste with spicy cinnamon notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish gooseberry and spicy aftertaste with resiny grassy honey notes. Full of flavour and highly drinkable. Very nice. (0.15l sample at Haand 2012.)

On tap at Haand beer festival 2012. Golden colour with a medium big white head. Aroma is hops, citrus, pine, and some floral notes. Flavour is both dry and sweet with some floral notes and the usual suspects of hops, grass, pine and citrus.

On keg at the brewery. Cloudy yellow with a lacy head and a malt and citrus nose. Body has wheat, biscuit, grapefruit and dry dry bitterness. Well balanced.

Keg in Euston Tap. Nose is citrousy, grapefruit, piney, but there’s also something like burnt rubber in there. Taste also has a bit of burnt rubber which is spoiling the overall flavour. Otherwise it’s lightly fragrant citrous and lychee, with some stronger bitter grapefruit, pine and resin.

On Tap at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Brighton,Saturday 5th May 2012 I’ve had this before at the Cask (Tom’s) but never got around to rating. Hazy gold colour with a white head that swiftly departed. Lovely bittersweet beer with a nice grapefruit pithiness that rubs around the gums and roof of the mouth, actually it is also a little lemony as well. Soft in the mouth, tasty stuff.
