High Wire is our tribute to the Pale Ales of the West Coast of America, beers unapologetically hop forward in character. Let your taste buds walk this test of balance. Mango, lychee and lip-smacking grapefruit flavours harmonise against a smoothly composed malt base, which develops into a crisply bitter finish. Are you ready for our tightrope of taste. .?

Tap at the Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 12th February 15. I’ve had this before, floral hops on the nose, well balanced refreshing taste, grapefruit, pith, citrus, very clean and easy drinking. Nice stuff

At pivni in York. Nice, but not as hoppy or citrusy as a good American ipa. Highly rated, I liked it, but not as good as the hype

On tap at the BeerTemple. Gold pour with thin white head. Aroma is nice and hoppy, citrusy, tropical notes, lots of pineapple, light grapefruit, light honey matliness. Taste is lightly bitter, nice crisp hop flavor, slightly grassy, fruity hop. Palate is med-light bodied light carbonation. Good.

Delicious. Sharp hops, no head. Almost perfect. Tad dry, actually too dry. But nice. A

Keg at the Lazy Fox, Fulham. Light gold colour. Grassy, piney citrussy aroma. Classic West Coast, no surprises here. A more than acceptable hit of hop in the taste, resulting in a bitter/spicy flavour with a hint of fruity sweetness in the end. Gorgeous hoppy aftertaste.

5.5%. ABV. American Pale Ale. Standard head. Dark golden body. Nice citrus in the nose with clean floral flavor notes. A very promising start. First mouthful gives the impression of a light hand on the palate with adequate carbonation which presents the lemon blossom like favors very admirably. Revisiting the nose reinforces the aroma hop pedigree of this brew. I’m getting nice hints reminiscent of the Citra and Amarillo hop. There’s that nice hit of Alfonso mango. A very solid effort overall with a nice strong bitter finish that lasts a lot longer than the Op and Top that I had this same outing. But it’s a good bitter, a happy bitter, a bitter that sings "That smacked bottom says ’I love you’ !" I love you too, and have the glowing glutes to prove it.

Appearance: cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma: grapefruit and mango, so fruity, nice cat piss, smells great. Flavour: tangy mango, tropical fruit. A little malt. Some decent bitterness with a long sweet finish. Lovely.
