COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
High Wire is our tribute to the Pale Ales of the West Coast of America, beers unapologetically hop forward in character. Let your taste buds walk this test of balance. Mango, lychee and lip-smacking grapefruit flavours harmonise against a smoothly composed malt base, which develops into a crisply bitter finish. Are you ready for our tightrope of taste. .?

Tap (Drink Baar, Tallinn)
Gold, small head, part loose, part tight. Lovely fruity aroma, juicy aroma, tropical - pineapple, grapefruit, lychee, nectarine. Simple palate, pleasant carbonation. Retronasals very fruity, just with a touch of bitterness. Slightly dusty finish, plenty of bitter bite, lasts a while. Wooliness in the late finish. Drinkability good. Nice UK take on a US take on the style.

OliBird (30) - WALES - NOV 12, 2013
A pale ale with tropical fruit flavours and a bread malt aroma. Aroma not quite as strong as would have thought. Pours golden and fizzy with a small white head. Tastes slightly sweet and moderately bitter. A fairly full bodied beer with a smooth texture and fairly lively carbonation. Enjoyed but found a little astringent to drink another bottle.

4oz pour at Churchkey. Pours a hazy gold with some filmy white head. Nose is oddly soapy, almost a little industrial, some citrus peel, a little herbal, some sweet fruit lurking. Thankfully the flavor is better, some lemon and grapefruit, some pineapple, lychee, still some soap but palatable, a little beeswax. Soapy finish.

A mid orange yellow coloured beer, weak head. A light hop aroma, and a unexpected nuttiness. The taste is a strange but enjoyable combination of grassy hop flavours and a maltiness that's reminiscent of peanuts! The finish has elements of both lasting through it. Tasted at the 2013 Norwich CAMRA beer festival. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
