High Wire is our tribute to the Pale Ales of the West Coast of America, beers unapologetically hop forward in character. Let your taste buds walk this test of balance. Mango, lychee and lip-smacking grapefruit flavours harmonise against a smoothly composed malt base, which develops into a crisply bitter finish. Are you ready for our tightrope of taste. .?

Keg at the Lazy Fox, Fulham. Light gold colour. Grassy, piney citrussy aroma. Classic West Coast, no surprises here. A more than acceptable hit of hop in the taste, resulting in a bitter/spicy flavour with a hint of fruity sweetness in the end. Gorgeous hoppy aftertaste.

5.5%. ABV. American Pale Ale. Standard head. Dark golden body. Nice citrus in the nose with clean floral flavor notes. A very promising start. First mouthful gives the impression of a light hand on the palate with adequate carbonation which presents the lemon blossom like favors very admirably. Revisiting the nose reinforces the aroma hop pedigree of this brew. I’m getting nice hints reminiscent of the Citra and Amarillo hop. There’s that nice hit of Alfonso mango. A very solid effort overall with a nice strong bitter finish that lasts a lot longer than the Op and Top that I had this same outing. But it’s a good bitter, a happy bitter, a bitter that sings "That smacked bottom says ’I love you’ !" I love you too, and have the glowing glutes to prove it.

Magic Rock are impressive and their beer resides @ my local often ... An above solid APA rendition that was a prop to showcase a "hoppy pale ale" to a novice ale drinker friend of a friend who i was drinking with @ the Magpie pube Brentford, who asked to me to recommend him "some hopppy shit" . "Woah ,shit is bitter,Gary" Mike exclaimed as the dude winced and looked confused on first sips ."Yeah, mike ,do you taste the lychee ?" . said I as I swilled Rochefort 6 like a jaded beerbro .
not sure if Mike will be drinking pale ale as a rule now , he got a pint of San Miguel lager to wash away the bitterness and side effects left to his tastebuds , but i guess its a reflection on his novice palate and the aromatic quality of this humble pale. i injured my leg latter in the eve. Rochefort fucks u everytime . Mike should try some.
