COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Meet Cannonball’s big brother; we used more malt, more hops and more magical conjuring to crank up the flavour of our explosive IPA ‘Cannonball’. Get your taste buds ready for massive pine and candied orange aromas combined with bitter/sweet grapefruit and mango flavours all complemented by a deeply composed, satisfyingly malty base. Ever wondered what it feels like to be shot out of a cannon? Here’s what it tastes like…

Bottle from BeerRitz courtesy of the parents. Pours hazy amber with an off-white head. Nice big resinous pine aroma. Juicy tropical fruit taste at first in grapefruit and bitter pine in the finish. A decent bit of caramel malt in the background and a good full mouth feel. Nice beer.

Pours hazy orange with ringed white head. Candied orange is front and centre. Contributing notes of pine, grapefruit and some tropical hues. Taste is initially very sweet tropical fruit, before some orange-marmalade and a whiff of pine. Bitterness is light and soft. Balance not quite there for me, needs a little more malt character...oh and a little more hop character in the bitterness. Nevertheless, a strapping beer.

Beese (2035) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 3, 2014
Bottle at BrewDog Shepherd’s Bush on 1 Nov. Poured a lightly hazy, deep golden colour, with a thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit, herbs and butterscotch. Very smooth palate. Caramel and biscuit flavour, with some tinned fruit. Finish was resin, raisins and dates.

On tap at North Bar, Leeds. Hazy golden colour. Mango and grapefruity hop nose. Solid citrussy hop bitterness with a mellower mango finish. Interesting.

Draught @ What’s Brewing 2014, Stavanger
Pours slightly hazy deep golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, orange, citrus and hint of pine. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long orange, citrus and pine finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Beautiful gold colour, small head but loads of lacing. Aroma is piney, hint of mango but huge whiff of butter. Butter hits the tongue, this feels like diacetyl. Too bad. Very bitter finish but that whiff of butter notes just ruins it for me. Drainpour

Keg @ Old gAte, Hebden Bridge. Golden coloured with a thin head. Full of tropical fruit hops in its aroma and taste (not unlike many of its other keg ales it has to be said), but doesn’t taste like the near 10% of alcohol it contains.

Bottle from cotteridge wines. Hazy golden amber beer with medium head and patchy lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, musty hops and tropical fruit. Taste is grapefruit, chewy fruit, malts and moderate pine resin. Medium bodied and a little chewy. Very nice.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours golden, light haze, thin white head. Aromas are pine and citrus, light resin. Taste is bitter, but balanced with a caramel sweetness. Oily texture, bitter finish. Kinda like hardcore ipa to be honest. Good stuff.

Sampled draft @ Borefts 2014. Thank you! Clear golden, little white head; Very oily citrus hop nose, malty. Taste is bitter grass, hay, floral, fizzy lemon. Good brew.
