3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy golden color with a nice head & good lacing on the glass.
The aroma is melon-like hop forward. It’s a touch soapy too. It’s a hoppy smelling beer but nowhere near the level of hop brightness that I experienced with regular cannonball that was served right beside this keg.
The bitterness level is enjoyable, the fresh hop character translates better in the flavor than it did in the aroma. It’s got some citrus zest, a mild malt sweetness, and a well restrained booze character.
it’s fine enough for an imported double IPA, but like I had eluded to before this one paled in comparison to the regular cannonball with it’s brighter & less muddled hop character, not to mention that regular Cannonball has a far better dryness than this beer does.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Craft Beer Co. Pours clear pale amber with an inch of dense head. Aroma is impressive pine, meadow, grapefruit, candied orange, mango, juicy and dank citrus and faint tropical fruit. Taste is creamy orange and grapefruit followed by sweet and creamy caramel malt. Some booze. Spot-on Pliny clone and might actually outdo the original – really impressive, and probably the best European riff on the DIPA style I’ve encountered.

Keg at sheffield tap. Slightly is to yellow with V lacy white head. Aroma of lemon, lychee and grapefruit. Taste is crisp and refreshing, very bitter and nice hum of alcohol. A little over carbonated for my taste, but good sticky medium body saves it. Good stuff.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JAN 19, 2015 Keg. Light hazy copper with a medium sized white head. Tropical fruits and some cheese in the nose. Starts soft and sweet, I find the flavours hard to describe in human language. The balance is good for this type of beer, not too sweet and the bitterness is not too abrasive, neither is the alcohol. So that part works, but the flavour is a mess of sugary malt, cheese, and some honey/light sweet fruit in one big clusterfick.
