Backlog rating. Keg at BD Shepherd’s Bush tap takeover, London. It pours a dark brown color with small beige head. Aroma is medium sweet and lightly tangy zesty and mineral, with notes of chocolate, licorice, citrus peel and tequila. Taste has light tequila notes, some saltiness and lemon peel, dark chocolate and coffee. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, quite nice

On tap @ Haandfest 2014. This is a deep and dark brown looking one, only a small but sidesticking islandy beige head. The nose is quite chocolate infused. Dark roasted with wood, lots of nice rich coffee and cocoa. Nice. Really light and almost watery in the mouth and it’s soft prickling on the bubbles. Lots of almost earthy spiced up chili here, not to much. The chili kicks in immediately. Lots of cold coffee and chocolate wrapper also detected. Yeah, it’s quite flavorful. And the chili really made it interesting. Nice. 24.05.2014

Keg at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014, red session. 03/05/2014. Dark brown black coloured pour with a creamy greyish loose head. Aroma is woody earthy spicy, touch of booze. Flavour is back of the throat spicy pepper, earthy roast, nutty malts. Palate is chalky, nice dry finish. Warming chilli lingering in the finish. Not much barrel character.

Keg at Craft Beer Co - Clerkenwell cons 2014-07-15 London AR: heavy coffey, dark chocolate, some dark red fruitiness that I can’t define is there - but can’t define AP: opac black, wee stouthy cream brown head, lovely curtains F: heavy chilli (to much), dark and bitter chocolate, coffey, the tropical frutiness you can find in chilli is nice but not the heavy heat that is taking over, no traces of the Tequila ...

Black with a brown head - Roasted malt aroma with spices - Good roasted malt body that leads into a spicy peppery taste that burns a little in the back - The haet from the peppers goes into a long hot finish - This was quite ok
