Rapture is our full bodied, heavenly hoppy red beer. 5 types of malt and 6 types of hops make for a truly elating experience. Uplifting aromas of grapefruit and pine, combine with a pithy orange and pronounced citrus flavour which is balanced against a deeply rich and malty body. A satisfyingly dry and crisp finish offers your taste buds redemption. Our red ale will take you to heaven and back…

Nice hoppy amber ale, resinous with a nice malt backbone. I love this style, surprisingly hard to do it well. For the ABV I’m not sure you can find a better one.

Cask at The Holy Inadequate, Etruria. A clear amber colour with a medium off white head. Aroma of peach, red berries, pine, some grapefruit, slight caramel and grassy hops. Taste of peach, grapefruit, red berries, some orange, slight pine, a little papaya, a hint of caramel, subtle toasted malts and earthy, grassy hops. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, fruity, earthy, resinous hop bitterness in the finish. Probably the best cask amber Ale you can get, every flavour available from malts, citrus, fruit, pine and earthy hops. Great.

UPDATED: JUL 16, 2016 Can. Nose is fruity, red berry, orange, modern tropical hops. Taste is malt, orange, leading to grapefruit, lime, the body is malty, biscuit, toast, hazelnut. Mouthfeel is full. Reminiscent of black IPA in the use of modern hops alongside a different body. It?s alright but I can?t get excited by amber ales, however kindly I’m asked to try it...

Keg tap at the Cambridge Blue. Reddish amber, clear with a small off-white head. Resin, toffee, forest floor, a touch of banana in the aroma. Bittersweet taste turning quickly to a sharp bitter, with more resinous hop on the finish. Perfect tickly carbonation. A veritable godsend to an amberphile like me.
