Bottle at home, cask at Sheffield Tap 20/07/11. Hoppy amber ale? Get in there! It’s an almost-there beer; caramel is spiked with slight spice, finish is dry and not cloying, flavours assertive and not clashing, hops prominent but not dominant. Just up everything another notch on the dial, lads, and you’ve got an amber that everyone will want to clone.

At home, 13/06/16. Can bought from Winerack, West Byfleet. Sweet but hoppy aroma - enticing if not overly strong. Dark amber in colour, a beige head which soon disappears. Bitter flavour, complemented by an interesting palate: a medium body, with an oily texture and some carbonation coming through. A good drinkable amber ale.

Hazy dark amber color with beige head. Aroma is really hoppy and dank with a hint of dark fruits and caramel. Taste starts with dank/herbal hops, continues with spicy malts, makes me think of rye. Finish is hoppy with a nice, mellow bitterness. Medium, smooth feeling body with good carbonation. It packs a lot of taste for the low ABV. Really good amber ale, one of the best I had so far. Really hoppy and dank but you also get the spicy malts, making it different to a regular IPA and not just by the color.

220516. Can at home. Pours hazy red with a nice head. Aroma yeast (maybe I should’ve poured slowed and colder), pine, grapefruit, hops. Some citrus. Nice malty body. A bit more alcohol would probably do good. Not Bad.
