Keg at The Southern. Pours clear reddish-brown with a chunky white head. Herbal hops aromas, and the lemon end of citrus too. Some caramel. Sweetness first on the tongue, but then lots of hop bitterness. A touch too fizzy for me, but a very nice beer overall.

UPDATED: MAY 31, 2012 Cask at the Horsehoe NW3. Slightly unusual - looks like a full coloured reddish brown ale but nose shows strong citrusy hopping. Bitter taste with grapefruit in the hops and a good firm malty background. Long finish. A very good pint - possibly a touch one-dimensional in the bitter hoppiness?

another solid brew here, fresh from santa sleigh, nice red session ale with a healthy dose of sweet fruity hops. Very drinkable and still tasty and medium bodied. very nice for a darker but still refreshing session ale.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma: Faint aroma of strawberry, orange, caramel and wood.
Appearance: Clear amber body with a thin off-white head that holds well. No visible carbonation. Nice lacing.
Taste: Toffee apple, blood orange and strawberry. Quite grassy and bitter.
Palate: Thin to medium body with a slick, oily texture. Flat carbonation.
Overall: A light, juicy, complex Amber Ale, with more of a fruity hop character than others I’ve tried. I’d like this even more if the ABV was a bit higher and it had a slightly fuller body.

Cask @ Holborn whippet. Midst red brown. Fruit then a stale funk, almost b o, aroma with hops too. Tastes close to a red ipa. Hoppy, grapefruit bitterness. Decent.
