On tap at HaandFestival 2012. An unclear, golden-orange beer topped by a minimal-sized beige head. Citrusy, piney nose with caramel in the back. Pleasant, but a tad too subtle I think. That goes for the flavor too, with its biscuity maltyness, citrus peel and pine cones, and a decent bitterness. It feels a bit dead on the palate, although it has a decent carbonation. Full body and bitter finish. A decent and easy drinkable beer, but it failed to impress me. 120505

6th August 2011 Hazy red-brown beer, little off white head. Light dry palate. Good malt backbone with a very light trace of smoke. Nice red fruits, some orange fruit too. Semi dry finish with a mildly bitter aftertaste.

Bottle, bought @ Mybrewerytap.
Pours fairly muddy amber with a lovely, staying, cream-coloured, cremy head. Aroma has lovely spiciness, pine, grapefruit, light ashy toasted caramel, some resin and light sweetness. Medium carbonation, good dry and fairly light mouthfeel. Flavour has dusty caramel malts, some resin, a tad yeasty, some rhubarb, citrus. Fairly bitter finish with some grainy malts. Certainly not Magic Rock’s best effort, but still good.

Cask conditioned at Harbury Beer Fest ’11. Hazed reddish amber with slight head. Full on fruity, hoppy, citrusy beer, there is a decent malty bittersweet body delivering some lovely hoppy flavours, grapefruit and lemon to the fore. A very pleasant beer and my beer of this festival.
