[4/29/15] Draught at Mikkeller & Friends in Copenhagen. Hazy amber. Aroma of malt, caramel, some biscuit and some piney hops. Sweetish flavor with malt, caramel, biscuit, and bitter piney and earthy hops. Medium-bodied.

Cask, gravity at Harbury Beer Festival, Harbury, Warwickshire, 03.09.11 Reddy brown apperance with a little haze. Some perfume on the nose but continuing whiffs suggest plenty of citrus hops, and that is exactly what the mouth experienced. Fresh, zingy, fresh green hops, lovely bitterness. This is superb beer despite the hazy appearance. A8 A3 T9 P4 Ov17 4.1

Draught. High creamy off-white lasting head. Clear dark brown body. Pine lemon spicy aroma. Distinct citrus pine flavor with a nice bitterness. High carbonation. Long dry and bitter finish.

Bottle, Best Western Marina Hotel, Dover, 12/02/12. Needless to say the hotel didn’t provide me with this one. Muddy ruby, fine lacing beige. Floral hop, earthy malt aroma with butter, coffee, cinder toffee. Good background tropical and grapefruit hop. Nutty, bitter floral hop flavour with oily, chocolate orange, walnut notes. Hot metal and green hop burps. A bit washy. Liquorice, digestives. Drinks like a concentrate of Shep Neame Spitfire.

on tap at mikkeller and friends stefansgade. sure enough amber with a steady head; aroma of pine and caramel; simple enough rendition of the style with some dried grass, white grape and a modestly bitter finish

330 ml bottle.
Pours a deep amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma of really strong tangy hops, orange peel and lemon zest. Again, flavour of strong hops, astrigent, gooseberries, biscuity malts, caramel and orange peel. Medium bodied, rough mouthfeel and a rough, strong bitter finish. 4,6% ABV greatness.

Cask at King William IV. Pours brown with a tan head. Aroma of light marmite, spice, floral aspects, malt and pepper. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Moderate pepper on the palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 10/02/2012. Deep amber with a slight white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, pine resin and a touch of caramel. Sweet malt flavours upfront, followed by grapefruit and pineapple and a dry finish with more pine. Enjoyable.
