4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hand pulled at the Victoria, Birmingham. Finally got to try this legend. I like and agree with MR’s description of grapefruit and pithy orange. Lovely red hue and beige froth. Easy to drink, but quenching and satisfying. Worth the wait.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl bottle thanks to Chris Mair! Pours light chestnut with an orange hue. There is a nice head but it mostly disappears in the first couple of minutes. The nose has some raisin malt but is mostly pine and grapefruit pith. The taste has more grapefruit and pith with not sweet malt to talk of. The palate has a medium body and texture with a very fresh and zingy finish. Overall, it’s a good beer for the hopheads, but it needs a little more malt sweetness for me, so it is very flavoursome but lacks balance.
