UPDATED: FEB 2, 2012 Thanks Craig for sharing this bottle. Had this alongside the High Wire and Cannonball. An orange-red amber ale with a lacy white head. Aromas of pineapple, caramel, toffee and some pepper. Caramel flavour also, quite nutty, some fruits- passionfruit and orange again. A bit yeasty. OK.

Bottle at home. Deep copper amber pour, small bubbly tan head. Nose is big pine, grapefruit. Hint of toffee. Delightful smooth caramel on the taste, quickly matched by lovely, massively refreshing orange/grapefruit hops. Really nicely balanced, good hoppy session beer. Yum.

330ml bottle with Ben. Tastes like a 5am Saint with a less subtle hop profile. In a good way. Could do with a shot in the arm alcohol-wise.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ACD (341) - Dublin, IRELAND - MAY 27, 2012
33cl bottle. Pours deep hazy amber/red with thin white head - plenty of lacing. Aroma is primarily grapefruit, bit of pine, citrus fruits (orange peel), slight funkiness. Taste is well balanced between the bitter citric hop notes (grapefruit) and the deep, rich, smooth caramel malt. Could maybe do with a bit of bumping up in the ABV department, but, as it is, it is a near-sessionable red ale, packed full of flavour.

Bottle. Hazy amber with white head. Pine and resin hop aroma. Flavour is much the same with a solid maltiness and some fruit notes. Pretty, pretty good.

Attractive red-brown color, frothy off-white head. The aroma is quite hoppy and sweet. The taste is certainly bitter, but balanced with a fruity sweetness. The mouthfeel’s pleasingly constructed. Nicely carbonated, medium mouthfeel. Overall, this is quite good. It’s not Magic Rock’s premier offering, but certainly worthy.
