On tap, 1dl tasting glass @ Borefts 2015, Bodegraven. Body is clear amber, head is very small, white, mostly diminishing, good lacing. Nose is light roasty, leaves, black tea, flavor is tea, spices, dried fruits, vegetables, leaves, wood, light . Medium sweet, medium bitter. Finish is long lasting roasty medium bitter, also hoppy later. Light body, dry texture, soft carbonation. Easy, refreshing, simple, tasty beer.

Can consumed at home in March 2016. AROMA: Fresh, clean and piney. APPEARANCE: A cloudy deep red with an amber hue. A sustainable white fluffy head and decent carbonation. Head retains to about 1cm depth for quite some time. TASTE: Hoppy, bitter, well balanced. Nice clean water profile on the tip on my tongue. Not much sweetness. PALATE: Oily, smooth, slick, low carb on tongue, long lasting bitterness. OVERALL: An enjoyable red ale with plenty of hops and a nice full bodied malt back bone which allows the hops plenty of room to take centre stage. I really like this brewery.

Pours red with a big foamy head. The aroma is sweet berries. A lovely sweet berry flavour is balanced out by a slight bitter finish, it’s a bit like a black IPA taste.

Cask at The Holy Inadequate, Etruria. A clear amber colour with a medium off white head. Aroma of peach, red berries, pine, some grapefruit, slight caramel and grassy hops. Taste of peach, grapefruit, red berries, some orange, slight pine, a little papaya, a hint of caramel, subtle toasted malts and earthy, grassy hops. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, fruity, earthy, resinous hop bitterness in the finish. Probably the best cask amber Ale you can get, every flavour available from malts, citrus, fruit, pine and earthy hops. Great.

330ml bottle. Lively pour, amber brown body, dirty white thin head. Aroma is a combination of simcoe, cascade, grapefruit. Taste is high bitterness, straight from the hops! It largely evades the palate, apart from the odd sharp crisp tingle. Long bitter grapefruit finish. Overall the aroma wins it for me. Not bad at all, but would like a bit of a softer edge on the finish. I drank this standing in my kitchen over a boiling pot of water.

On tap at the brewery, orange and lightly hazy with a lacy head. Big pine nose, big dry hoppy palate with strong grapefruit bitterness, but nicely balanced with malt.
