Rapture is our full bodied, heavenly hoppy red beer. 5 types of malt and 6 types of hops make for a truly elating experience. Uplifting aromas of grapefruit and pine, combine with a pithy orange and pronounced citrus flavour which is balanced against a deeply rich and malty body. A satisfyingly dry and crisp finish offers your taste buds redemption. Our red ale will take you to heaven and back…

On tap, 1dl tasting glass @ Borefts 2015, Bodegraven. Body is clear amber, head is very small, white, mostly diminishing, good lacing. Nose is light roasty, leaves, black tea, flavor is tea, spices, dried fruits, vegetables, leaves, wood, light . Medium sweet, medium bitter. Finish is long lasting roasty medium bitter, also hoppy later. Light body, dry texture, soft carbonation. Easy, refreshing, simple, tasty beer.

Can consumed at home in March 2016. AROMA: Fresh, clean and piney. APPEARANCE: A cloudy deep red with an amber hue. A sustainable white fluffy head and decent carbonation. Head retains to about 1cm depth for quite some time. TASTE: Hoppy, bitter, well balanced. Nice clean water profile on the tip on my tongue. Not much sweetness. PALATE: Oily, smooth, slick, low carb on tongue, long lasting bitterness. OVERALL: An enjoyable red ale with plenty of hops and a nice full bodied malt back bone which allows the hops plenty of room to take centre stage. I really like this brewery.

Pours red with a big foamy head. The aroma is sweet berries. A lovely sweet berry flavour is balanced out by a slight bitter finish, it’s a bit like a black IPA taste.

Cask at The Holy Inadequate, Etruria. A clear amber colour with a medium off white head. Aroma of peach, red berries, pine, some grapefruit, slight caramel and grassy hops. Taste of peach, grapefruit, red berries, some orange, slight pine, a little papaya, a hint of caramel, subtle toasted malts and earthy, grassy hops. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, fruity, earthy, resinous hop bitterness in the finish. Probably the best cask amber Ale you can get, every flavour available from malts, citrus, fruit, pine and earthy hops. Great.

Pours murky red, so murky it almost appears brown. White head that disappears to a white lace that persists. Aroma of red berry, tropical fruit, pine. Taste is sweet and very hop upfront but not overly bitter. Flavours of toasted malt, fresh resinous pine, orange, red berries and mild herbal notes. A well balanced IPA. Very similar aroma and flavours to Brewdog 5am Saint (which is also a red hoppy ale) but this one just tops it with abit more of a fresher hop taste (by memory).

An extremely well-crafted beer, but I’m not as keen on piney hops as many of my beers and the intensely resinous quality of this beer left quite an impression. If you like pine this should be one of your favorite beers ever by my estimation.
