Rapture is our full bodied, heavenly hoppy red beer. 5 types of malt and 6 types of hops make for a truly elating experience. Uplifting aromas of grapefruit and pine, combine with a pithy orange and pronounced citrus flavour which is balanced against a deeply rich and malty body. A satisfyingly dry and crisp finish offers your taste buds redemption. Our red ale will take you to heaven and back…

Sampled cask @ Borefts 2014. Thank you! Murky brown, tanned bubbles. Smell is nicer than taste, rich malt, caramel, sugar. Taste is a bit muddled & weak, oily, malt, sugar, caramel, leaves, tad watery, mocha. Lower carbonation, okay for sure but could be better.

Clear amber beer, small creamy white head, little stable, adhesive. Aroma: lots of exotic fruits, bit nutty, caramel, sweet impression . MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bitter start, uk hops, grassy, hay, some caramel, soft acidity. Aftertaste: bitter, grassy, little fruity, medicinal finish.

Tap at Borefts Beer Festival 2014. Pours a clear reddish amber with a big, off white head. Aroma is pretty fruity with cranberries and some weed, red berries, pine and hops. Taste is smooth, gentle hop bitterness, hop fruity, again some sweet, ripe, dark red berries. Pretty nice, but fairly low carbonation. Smooth body despite the low abv.

Tap. Magic Rock Tap. Didn’t realise I hadn’t rated this. Had the option of cask or keg. I went for cold and fizzy. Lightly hazy, dark copper. Bubbly, sticky, off white head. Good, fresh, spicy hop. Orange peel. Tinned grapefruit. Smells great. Taste is moderately bitter. Some spicy dryness. Clean palate. Finishes light bitter, with a soft dry close.

Sample at the Magic Rock booth at Borefts. These dudes were ultra chill. Pours amber with nice lace and head. Flavor is dry grains, bitter hops, wood, and some creamy malt. Medium bodied with a dry and bitter close.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2012 Thanks Craig for sharing this bottle. Had this alongside the High Wire and Cannonball. An orange-red amber ale with a lacy white head. Aromas of pineapple, caramel, toffee and some pepper. Caramel flavour also, quite nutty, some fruits- passionfruit and orange again. A bit yeasty. OK.

Bottle at home. Deep copper amber pour, small bubbly tan head. Nose is big pine, grapefruit. Hint of toffee. Delightful smooth caramel on the taste, quickly matched by lovely, massively refreshing orange/grapefruit hops. Really nicely balanced, good hoppy session beer. Yum.

From cask. Pours dark orange to brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, grapefruity, peachy and citrusy hoppy. Crisp bitter, fruity and subdued sweet. Bitter and lingering floral fruity into a dry and peachy to grapefruity hoppy finish.
