Small glass served from tap at Schouskjelleren. Reddish-orange coloured body. Lasting layer, totally blanketing the glass. Aroma of apricot and pine. Fresh malt-fruity taste including notes of grapefruits, orange, resin with mid-sweet malts benaeth. Rounded bitter ending. Fine session qualities (happy drinking in friendly company with Hege and OleR in Oslo during a Saturday afternoon, 15.09.2012).

On tap at Euston Tap, pours a cloudy amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of resinous hops, followed by a dry caramel bready malt. Flavour is very balanced between hoppy and malty, with strong resinous hops upfront followed by a dry bready caramel malt backing. Robust and flavourful with a dry palate. Excellent red ale.

Draught at the Magic Rock 25 Tap Takeover at BrewDog, Shepherd’s Bush on 31 May. Poured a clear amber, with a dense, off-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of berries, straw and toasted malt. Bitter hop flavours; lots of grass and pine needles, balanced with some burnt sugar. Finish was dried fruit, spice and grain.

Draught at the O'Connell's, Tampere, Finland. Clear dark red amber colour with a creamy and foamy off-white head. The aroma is mild with hops, mild bitterness, dry wood and nutty malt. The flavour is much stronger with piney and mild grapefruity hops, mild bitterness, nutty and woody dryness, malt and some paper. Served ice cold. Very low carbonation. I was expecting a bit more. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home from Beer Emporium, Sandbach. Pours reddish amber brown with a decent pale brown head. Aroma is nice and hoppy, grapefruit, pear, quite fruity with some caramel notes. Flavour more hops, hint of spice, some light malts, medium bitter finish. Enjoyed this one.

Oldham Beer Festival. Hazy deep red with a small head. Has a high sweet hopped nose and a gritty texture that subdues the tropical fruit notes.
