Can, 330ml from The University Club, Oxford. Cloudy, murky lemon gold with white head. There is a light saltiness to this with a slightly weird fruity, acidic character. Sharp orange over sea water. Not refreshing to me unfortunately. I won’t be going back for more of this but it’s drinkable.

On keg, The Cock Tavern, Hazel’s birthday party, 9/01/2016. Great condition. Very dry and drinkable for a gose but I didn’t get much gooseberries but the juicy bite was prominent and good. Very nice malt usage. Super soft. Maldon sea salt and a puckering finish. Descent.

Can from Gonzo. Murky witbier colour with a slender white cap. Aroma of berries, brown bread, polished tabletops, aluminium and vomit. Slick and refreshing with a quenching dash of lemon sour at the front merging into teardrops, cherrystone and flying saucer sherbet. Refreshing. If a little bit like drinking your own sick mixed with lemonade.

Draught @ Whats Brewing - Friday Session 2, Stavanger
Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus, salty and grain. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with a long citrus, salty and grainy finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Can. Pour seems very carbonated but leaves a nice, fat head. Pretty cloudy, looking like your everyday hefeweissen. Nose leaves quite a bit of yeast hanging, but slowly gives room to a more fruity feel. Not too sour, but enough to lift your tastebuds and refresh them with a bit of zest on your tongue. Quite floral and with a slight fruit to it. As time passes, your tongue starts picking up on the salt, drying it out a little. Nice!

Can, thanks to Secret Santa! Pours cloudy orange, medium fluffy white head, dissipates slowly leaving lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is light, wheat, sea air, lightly fruity. Flavor is quite light tart, hints of salt and fruit. Light body, a bit of a lingering aftertaste.

Hazy straw colour with a waft of white head. Body is light and a touch watery. You get citrus on the nose, and slightly salted gooseberry in the mouth. Couldn’t drink a lot of this style, and this variant gets a bit too close to diluted fruit juice.
