A beer lacking in alcohol can’t be really flavourful as well can it? Common sense says it won’t have a big aroma full of passion fruit and mango; it wouldn’t have a well rounded mouth feel and crisp bitterness and there’s no way it’d have satisfying IPA style depth of flavour…. is there? Think again, this is a beer totally devoid of common sense, the jester in the pack, a complete Simpleton…”

On tap @ Borefts 2014. Smells really nice. A light blurry golden colored one this with a small white lacing head. Fruit nose with lots of nice hoppy tones. Green grass and hay. Quite nice stuff. Above average on the carbonation and thin near watery in the mouth. Slightly dryish mineralish flavors. Watery malts, some biscuits. Fruity, absolutely. Green grass and hay. Really lightdrinkable and not bad at all for the abv. Green grassy long tail. 27.09.2014

Keg at The Pivni Bar, York. Gold with white head. This has quite a light body, sharpish but there is a crisp hop note, some tropical fruit, some bitterness. Late jammy fruit notes. Pretty reasonable for the strength.

Draft. An unclear golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, caramel, and malt. The body is light.

Draft @ Brouwcafeé de Molen. Pours a clear deep orange beer with a big white head on top. Aroma is light citric and grassy, refreshing and light. Flavor is full on bitterness with loads of citrus fruits, grapefruits and sorts. Flavor doesn’t last long though. Soft carbonation. Very decent, despite low abv.

Aroma: grain and cereal malts, light bread, light floral hops. Appearance: clear gold, small, creamy white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: bitters intensify, floral hops, grain malts, dry and bitter finish. Overall: decent Session IPA, yet doesn’t stand out laste-wise, quite impressive though given the low ABV. Pint at Draft House Seething, London Bridge.

Keg @Cimmeria, Oviedo. 27-04-2016.
In short: fruity low alcohol bitter ale.
Pours quite clear golden with nice frothy white head, Moderate head retention, some lacing. Mango, peachy nose, very noticeable. Medium to light body, average carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is moderate bitter, dry, fruity. Nice flavours for the low abv(3º in this case). Good brew.

Beerfest at Furnace Inn, cask, half-pint shared with Finn. Naked surface, poor lacing. Close to clear dark golden body. Malt-fruity aromas, citrus peel and brown malts. Taste of apricot, orange and mango on a mild backbone of caramel sweetness. Thin bodied, not diluted though. Session drink, indeed. (Derby 21.02.2016).
