An "India Red Ale" A deeply red, raucously hopped showstopper of a beer. We took our Rapture red hop recipe and turned the volume up to 11. A kaleidoscope of speciality malts deliver a robust yet smoothly sweet mouth feel while sack loads of Australian whole hops bring tropical fruit flavours of lychee, papaya and passion fruit. For the grand finale we introduced waves of magic aroma by dry hopping the beer with kg after kg of those same big and beautifully pungent Aussie hops. Roll up, roll up, The Big Top is in town!

In The Macc, Macclesfield. Cheers to my mate Moby for taking me out when I’m skint. Brown with a healthy sized off white head. Aroma is hops, fresh pine, sweet caramel. Flavour has more fruity hop goodness, alcohol is well hidden. This is ace. Not had a bad beer from Magic Rock yet and this I liked a hell of a lot.

Keg at Craft Islington. Dark red, cloudy, small white head doesn’t endure. Aroma - caramel strong hoppy (what I call ’cheesy’ hops) character. Body is medium to light, spritzy carbonation. Taste is sweet toffee, rosewater, milk chocolate covered raisins, fairly aggressive hop character brings a dry floral bitter finish. Reminiscent of Stone Arrogant Bastard and Dogfish 90 Minute, though I prefer this beer to them because of its better balance and more distinct flavours. Not my favourite style but I can see why it appeals to some.

On tap at Brewdog Bristol. Very sweet toffee malt-forward aroma with some tropical fruit (mango maybe) and a slight hint of pine. Chewy malt-forward flavor is a perfect balance between sweet and savoury. Backed up by a sweet zip of tropical fruit. Chewy, sticky mouth-feel is delicious and moreish. Resinous and long bitterness. Reminds me a lot of east-coast US IPA’s.

Keg @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Clear copper-red, with more of the latter on show, and a thick frothy head. It’s not an ale that shows its strength, but its tropical fruit aroma and taste is potent enough and clearly full, as is its body. Has a very light sweetness to it.

On tap at House of Beer, Cracow. Very pleasant, hoppy nose with absolutely lovely aussie notes; white grape, some red tropical fruits and solid malty, caramel aroma. Also - some flowers in the end. Beer itself is clear ruby with slick medium head. Looks tasty, smells tasty and is tasty indeed - really good caramel backbone right before palate-stomping, bitter finish of grape. Bitterness feels exactly like biting trough a grape stone while eating some sweet white grapes. Full bodied with slick texture, medium carbonation and pleasant, fruity palate. Very good.

On tap at Brewdog Birmingham. Ruddy in colour. Very drinkable - I literally could not stop sipping it. Sherbet try finish. Has a round the corner of boozy nudge. Crunch, dry fruity pleasured. Nice.

Pours a darkish brown with a white head. Citrus aroma and decent citrus bitter taste.
