On tap at Kick. It’s an unclear orangey brown beer topped by a dense, finger-thick light beige head. Orangey, resiny nose with a toffee-ish, almost coffee-like touch. Hints of liquorice too. Very bitter, in a pleasant way, with toffee and coffee in the back. Resins and pine cones. Medium to full body, quite dry. Lasting finish with lots of bitterness. A quite pleasant one, but lacking a bit on balance, although I understand that’s not the goal. 130117

26th November 2012 Euston Tap. Cloudy rto muddy red brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Not a pretty beer! Smooth semi soft palate with fine minerally carbonation. Very creamy malt with a streak of grain. Big skunky hops. Traces of citrus and red berry fruits. Finishes smooth and semi dry. On the face of it this should be a very good beer. But it’s a little to grainy and the hops a bit too skunk dominant Still not bad though!
