Draft @ Oliver Twist, 30/3-14.
Dark brown with red tints, short creamy head that lace. Starts dry and bitter with citrus and pine, then comes a nice creamy maltiness with toffee, chocolate, nuts and some bread. Really nice body for its ABV.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2014 Alla spina.

Backlog rating at CBC Clerkenwell, London. It pours a hazy light brown color with a small tan head. Aroma is roasty and hoppy, with notes of toffee, biscuit, bread, wet soil, lime leaves, citrus peel, grapefruit juice, pine cones. Taste is medium sweet, roasty and bitter upfront. Finishes lightly dry and bitter. Notes of roasted malts, toasted bread with orange marmalade, lemon zest, white chocolate, earth and dried leaves. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, tasty brown ale

Keg at Siren Halloween party, 1st November 14, it’s getting vague at this stage, but I liked this, full on flavour, lots of chewy malt, and a citrus twist, tasty

Keg at Siren Halloween Beer Festival, Saturday 1st November 2014. Malty on nose, colour is muddy brown, actually its not so muddy, its dark brown with a small beige head. citrus also on nose. Taste is mostly malty with a steady citrus element, possibly grapefruit, certainly doesn’t seem lemony. I have to say that most unusually for a Magic Rock beer I tired of this, it became a little forgettable. Loz was right her Gamma Ray was much the better beer of the two. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Tap @ Angleterre, Helsinki 30/08/14. Pours an auburnish dark brown with a good, dark latte-colored head. Aroma is citrusy, fruity. Taste is coffee, chocolate, decently roasted, some citrus. Feels like a black IPA in the bad way, rather than a hoppy brown. Too bad. Fairly light with slightly less than medium carbonation. Not pleasant.
