3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Keg at Port Street Beer House, Northern Quarter, Manchester, Saturday 18th April 2015 in company of Georgia and Dom l was reluctant to try this as I had already managed to purchase a bottle of this from Cotteridge Wines, however I know it is a pretty rare find on tap so at £6 a Pop I decided to have a try. Cloudy warm gold edging towards orange in colour with very little head noted. Very concentrated aroma with stacks of fruit, mostly of the tropical variety with some light mango touches and pineapple cubes picked up. Very pleasant beer with good fruity flavours, however it isn’t living up to the hype I’m afraid and given the choice I would take the superb standard Cannonball over this every time, I guess bigger isn’t always better. I like it there is sweet orange, mango and a little pineapple in and amongst but it’s just not the beer I hoped for or expected. A6 A2 T7 P4 Ov13 3.2

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours yellow with a tints of pinkish redness, similar to a peach. A head is present but not for long. Aroma is packing with mango, pineapple, nectarine and various other tropical fruits. Taste is gloriously packed with mango, slight nectarine hints, a touch of pineapple, a note of lemon zest with a slightly noticeable alcohol presence. Full bodied with a domineering mouthfeel.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle; King’s Arms; many thanks to DJ Reakt!
Looks like mango juice. No head. Aroma is incredibly fruity. Loads of mangoes and grapefruit and hop oils. Pilth and pine. Taste is orange tango, mangos, citrus juice, lychees, grapefruit, hop oils, pilth and pine. Some nice light flowery elements. A bit ott but enjoyable and refreshing. A really good beer but that’s normal from the bearded overlord.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle at home, 25th April 15. Pours murky peach colour, bit clear, but I like this in a bold style of such a big DIPA, Boneking, was similar. The aroma is big juicy tropical fruit, mango, grapefruit, citrus, and a little pine. Taste is tropical fruit, resinous pine, alcohol, all fresh, almost raw, fantastic bold malt backbone. The beer is excellently balanced for such a high ABV, never too sweet and carbonation spot on. Heavy going but a great beer, much better than the harsh Human canonball.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
660ml bottle, big thanks to McNeillR! Shared with jeevan and Ashton McCobb. Pours London-murky yellow gold, no head. Looks awful, I’m actually surprised a brewery would send this out looking so bad... Aromas of tropical fruit, mango, lime. Taste is very bitter, grapefruit pith, booze burn, burnt orange.Missed this beer when it came out the last couple of years, finally tried it, and not entirely sure what all the fuss is about... an emperor’s new clothes of a beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Keg at PSBH, Manchester. Very hazy yellow. Short white head. Aroma is more delicate than expected. Floral notes. Deeply fruity, citrussy, grapefruit-led taste. Straw, sugary caramel malt. Ending with strong bitterness. Fairly thick and rich but pretty drinkable for the strength. Fell a bit short of the hype but could easily go up against US hop monsters and hold its own.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Keg at the bat. Cloudy pale yellow, white head. Tropical fruity nose and faint cheese. Oily and full body. Grapefruit, mango. Really not what I expected. Good but more raw than other stablemates.
