4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines. Smells sweet and nice. Kinda hazey, not much fizz. Perilously easy to drink - I mean that. It slips down. Much less bitter and fierce than most DIPAs. Some alcoholic sweetness on the finish. Really good.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from BeerHive, Edinburgh
Orange, very hazy, off white head that dissipates to thin rim. Strong resinous hop aroma, lots of grassy hops, orange citrus zest and very sweet fruity malts. Flavour of pungent grassy hops, lots of hop resins, sweet orangey malts, piney hops, strong citrus bitter zest hops counterbalanced by a very sweet resinous fruity caramel malt that helps to hid the alcohol, although its still noticeable. Surprising easy to drink for the abv, but not as complex as expected. Medium to full body, soft carb, oily and quite sticky. Finish as main flavour with lots of hop bitterness, sweet fruity pale caramel malt and a tail of warming alcohol.
I haven’t tried Human Cannonball yet, but I have a feeling I’ll prefer that ......the beer is very drinkable for the abv and it’s huge amount of hops by using a particularly sweet quite heavy fruity caramel malt which works well, but it has the effort of partly masking some of the complex hop flavours. I also feel it may now be just on the tipping point at its optimum to drink. Certainly one to try next year!

On tap at Haand Festival 2013
Yellow hazy, white head. Smells of citrus zests, cat pee and malts; heavy heavy aromas. Medium sweet, fruity and zesty. Heavy bitter finish with resins and zests. My expectations was high; a good beer indeed, but not un-human

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Haand Festival 2013. Pours unclear deep orange with a medium offwhite head. Intense hoppy aroma, with tropical fruits and pine. Flavour is a lot of everything. Not a well balanced beer but its fresh and interesting. Medium carbonation, medium body, heavy bitterness. Cool one.

Cloudy amber beer, good pale cream head. Malt cream and hop on the nose. Smooth palate with fine minerally carbonation. Creamy malt with a caramel streak. Big resinous hops. Strong skunk and grass. Lesser pine and a touch of mint. Whisper of well buried citrus. Finishes smooth and semi dry with pine and mint aftertaste and a little peppery spice. Hats off to Magic Rock for brewing this. I think Triple IPAs are pretty hard to nail and whilst this is a very tasty beer I don’t think has quite made it, just seems a bit raw hops wise.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled from tap at Haandøl 2013. Hazy deep golden body with a dense white film. Tropical fruits, meaty, hoppy pollen and raisins on the nose. Full bodied and pungent sweet, bitter and salty hop juice that, although pretty extreme, comes off as smooth.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle bought just over a week ago. Was saving it for a special occasion - NOW it is time. Incredible bottle and artwork. Pours a hazy sunset orange with a nice white foam on top. Smells of seville orange marmalade, incredibly rich and welcoming. Taste is orange at first, but then there’s a grapefruit tang and some mango - all opens out in the mouth to some caramel and toffee. There’s a hint of alcohol there, moreso in the finish. There’s a little bit of nostril burn, but it’s all very drinkable. You can feel it going all the way down. Picking out some pineapple once I play with it a little, and some peach. Good and fresh and very full-on. A bit too much burn to be perfect, but very damned drinkable.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
2000th rating! Sorry it’s not a shitty lager lads, I had enough of them on holiday. Pours a hazy orange caramel with a medium head. Aroma is lychee, guava, pineapple and mango. Tropical fruit riot. Taste has lots of mango puree to start. Medium bitter mango and banana finish. A little one sided but tasty. Easy drinking, no hint of the strength til the warmth hits the stomach. So, who’s gonna be first to a 1000?

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
660ml bottle. Happy to get my hands on this. Hazy dark amber colour with reawakening, average, creamy, fairy lasting, superbly lacing, white head. Hoppy aroma of unique intensity has notes of grapefruit, pineapple, citrus, pine, resin, a cheesy, sweaty touch, robust caramel malty basis. Taste is initially minimally biting bitter hoppy, underlying notes of tropical fruit, moderately sweet caramel malty and fruity, citrusy middle part, a touch of sweat, cheese and purulence, in the last third again more bitter hoppy; full body, oily texture, long lasting bitter hoppy finish, well carbonated, surprisingly drinkable. Absolutely outstanding.
