COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
limited keg and 660ml bottles, special
Once a year we receive the latest crop of hops from the US, intensely aromatic and bursting with potential they’re begging to be put to work. With three times the quantity of hops of our explosive IPA ‘Cannonball’ and even more than our flagship Double IPA ‘Human Cannonball’ we’ve created a fitting tribute to the new hop release with this our annual homage to the hop. ‘Un-Human Cannonball ‘takes IPA to another dimension balancing massive citric aroma, deep tropical fruit flavor and gravity defying drinkability to deliver a hop experience that is out of this world. We’ve done our best for the hops don’t let them down by aging this beer, please drink as soon as Un-Humanly possible!

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This is a hazy golden-orange beer with very bitter citrus and orange marmalade flavours, pine and grapefruit notes with a warming, creamy zesty, rich tropical fruit finish.

66 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruity. Pine, grapefruity and roasted malty. Sweet impression, yet dry and crisp hoppy. Bitter and bone dry into the finish.

Bottle with a huge thanks to Ben! This beer rocked my world. Pours cloudy orange, medium off-white creamy head that dissipates slowly leaving nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, passionfruit, wonderful tropical citrusy. Flavor is the same, very tropical fruity, just a touch of cat piss. Light sweet, medium bitter. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, some warming. This just might be my new favorite DIPA. Wow. Go England!

660ml bottle from The Beerhive. Frothy white head with some lacing. Hazy amber body. Nose is all hops, pine with some tropical fruit. Body is grapefruit, caramel, treacle, burnt sugar. A fair bit of alcohol coming through. Aftertaste is light bitterness with molasses and dried fruit. Good full mouthfeel, medium carbonation. This is a brilliant beer, strong but not overpowering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Medium offwhite head. Hazy deep yellow body. Meaty pineapple aroma with tropical fruit and peach notes. Dry-bitter earthy gooseberry pineapple taste with salty resiny notes. Full-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish salty tropical fruit aftertaste with resiny notes. (0.15l draft at Haand 13.)

Juicy sweet orangy marmalade nose and taste supported by a massive bitter wall reminiscent of Stone Double Bastard. Some fizz. Dull orange haze. Light line of white head. Potent. A bit one dimensional but more of a howitzer than just a cannonball.

On tap at Haand Festival 2013. Cloudy golden body, small white head. Aroma is piney with apricot and mango, caramel, grass. Sweet malty taste with fruits, mango, pineapple, light yeast notes, touch of alcohol. Bitterness overshadowed by lots of sweet stuff. Thick body, caramel and fruity finish.

My Bottom Line:
Citrusy hops develop some resins within this oily, honeyed Blond Barley Wine.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam floats atop the cloudy dark beige.
-Alcohol is not too prominent for 12%.
-There might be some sulphury edges here and there...
-The tiny, prickly bubbles aren’t able to enliven the heavy, sugary body.
-This is not accomplished enough for the price tag they are charging. I’m glad a generous RBian shared this with me!

Bottle.

Bottle. Golden with a small head.Massive hoppiness with citrus in background. Powerful and yet easy to drink. Not one to mess with. A real winner.
