Transparent with a greenish straw tinge, no head, medium-full body, medium carbonation.
Aroma: musty cider with hints of pear and champagne.
Taste: musty champaign with sweet pear juice and simple sugar.
Rather sweet, but not as bad as wine coolers, and could be used in place of a dessert beer or wine.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 yngwie (10754) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 8, 2011
Bottle. A clear, slightly colored perry with some white bubbles around the edges. Quite sweetish on both nose and flavor, with a distinct sulphur touch. Pear too of course. Medium body, quite dry but far from bone dry. Pleasant carbonation. Pear in the finish. Nothing bad here, except the sulphites, but it’s also super boring. Sort of quenching, but a bit too sweet for that. 101119
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 17/20 cheap (3372) - Cheap Lager in Western, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 5, 2011
Aroma is mildly sweet aromatic pear. Visually its amazingly clear and soda water like. Rather bland on the taste buds for a pear but perhaps I mean quite dry. No hint of alky except in the slight volatileness of the smell. Decent carbonation, about average or below. Overall a quite crisp and clean drink that goes down easy with no negative attributes.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 nick76 (4073) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JAN 20, 2011
The aroma is sweet and fruity with only a hint of pear not the big pear presence I was hoping for. The appearance is as pale as gold can get without being clear. I have seen Sake with more color. The perry is carbonated but you would not know from looking at it. The taste is like the aroma and also lacking somewhat in pear presence. The palate is thin but I wasn’t expecting anything else. Overall refreshing and easy to drink but nothing special.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Slipstream (1775) - USA - DEC 1, 2010
Very light pour. A bit of cheap chablis aroma, with a pinch of herbal bitterness. The flavor is very lite, and has some unexpected bitterness along with a bit of lime and sugar and, oh yes, the faintest hint of pear. Not very good, I’m sorry to say. I would take their apple cider over this any time.
