We all need a bit of variety and thatís why we came up with the idea for Magnerís Pear. Of course, we like to do things properly and donít mind taking our time about it, so unlike some Pear cider, the only fruit that goes into ours is pears.

And of course, youíll only find 100% premium quality pears in Magners Pear, which we filter to get rid of any impurities before fermenting slowly.

Thatís what makes Magners Pear so fresh, fruity and full of flavor. So next time youíre out and wanting a bit of a change, pour a Magners Pear, sit back and enjoy.

A lot better than the apple equivalent, better body and less off flavours present.

568ml bottle. Clear watery very pale yellow colour, frothy white foam head that diminishes and aroma of pear, cider. Sweetish pear flavour, fruity with some tartness. Slightly oily mouthfeel, light bodied, high carbonation, watery finish. OK.

Iím not a fan of Magnerís apple cider so it really wasnít much of a surprise to find this isnít to my taste either. Very sugary with an artificial pear taste (even though it claims to have no artificial flavouring). Very much like a cheap, supermarket own brand perry rather than a cider. The taste is sticky and sweet with no acidity or bitterness to cut through the sugar. Got this as part of a gift set and unlikely to be on my shopping list ever again.

Bottle from Bertís Picked up on a whim. Pours the lightest of straw with a dismal head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of apple, pear, and sulfur. Flavor isnít much better. Medium to light body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. Drinkable but not a whole lot different than a macro cider. One and done for me.

Rating #868 - December 29, 2013 - 500mL Can from Coop. 6%. Clear, very pale yellow colour, weakly carbonated. Aroma is sweet pears. Taste is bubbly sweet, alcohol very well disguised, this could pass for juice. Not much to distinguish from other ciders/perries.

UPDATED: NOV 23, 2015 Pours a clear yellow/green with no head. Not much of an aroma, just sweet pear flavour and not even very potent at that. I expected more of a pear taste. This is very much like cheap champagne.

Pours like a whit wine. Looks like it too. Sweet sugary aroma. Has an off pear taste. Its ok. Iím not really a cider drinker, but my girlfriend is. She likes this, but I think Fox Barrel pear cider is better.

I love Magnerís Pear Cider. It trumped Sir Perry in my books and I loved that the first time I had it.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2013 No aroma. Flavor is similar to champagne and aftertaste has a cheese-like quality. Not good.
