We all need a bit of variety and thatís why we came up with the idea for Magnerís Pear. Of course, we like to do things properly and donít mind taking our time about it, so unlike some Pear cider, the only fruit that goes into ours is pears.

And of course, youíll only find 100% premium quality pears in Magners Pear, which we filter to get rid of any impurities before fermenting slowly.

Thatís what makes Magners Pear so fresh, fruity and full of flavor. So next time youíre out and wanting a bit of a change, pour a Magners Pear, sit back and enjoy.

Bottle into pint glass, very clear pale golden color with minimal white head. Aroma notes of pear sweetness and faint apple tart. Taste adds more sugary pear flavor. Light body, moderate-low carbonation, sticky with sweet pear finish. Itís a sweet perry, not much else to it.

330 from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear perry color with a slight white head. Aroma is pearish. Med minus body. Flavor is a bit odd. Pear is not at all fresh. Kind of like over pasteurized? Not a perry Iíd recommend.

Pour out of 500 mL can, clear golden pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of pear juice, tart lemon, touch of spice, yeast. Taste was a mix of big pear juice, slight tart pear skin, hints of vanilla, slight spice, touch of lemon, finishing fairly sweet.

Pours a bubbly, very pale gold with a small fizzy white head. Aroma of pears and sweet apples, a tiny bit tart. Tastes similar but a bit watery. Thin body.

Bottle. Pours almost as clear as water with a faint yellow-greenish hue and small foamy white head. Aroma is mild with notes of white wine, champagne and perfumed soap. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium acidic. Body is watery with sparkling carbonation. Finish is a bit short and only lightly crisp with notes that follow the nose. To thin for my taste.

Draught. Pours a very pale yellow color with pretty much no head on it whatsoever. Nose is slightly sweet with a bit of pear, but not overwhelmingly fragrant. Taste is much the same, very slightly sweet, lots of pear, and nothing at all remarkable.

I had this after having the Magners apple, and I think it is arguably better than the apple. Virtually no color to it. Although the flavors are less bold, they were also more balanced through the limping finish. Still, nothing like a proper cider. Can at Total Wine, Roseville.

sample from vendor...poured from bottle...looks like ginger ale in pint....taste was way better than the original...almost like a low alcohol wine...very drinkable on a hot summer day.
