COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We all need a bit of variety and that’s why we came up with the idea for Magner’s Pear. Of course, we like to do things properly and don’t mind taking our time about it, so unlike some Pear cider, the only fruit that goes into ours is pears.

And of course, you’ll only find 100% premium quality pears in Magners Pear, which we filter to get rid of any impurities before fermenting slowly.

That’s what makes Magners Pear so fresh, fruity and full of flavor. So next time you’re out and wanting a bit of a change, pour a Magners Pear, sit back and enjoy.

Can from the LCBO. Light clear yellow colour with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet pear candy. Flavour of overly sweet pear juice with a very faint hint of tartness in the quick finish. Gets pretty cloying as it warms up, so I can understand why they suggest drinking it over ice. Mediocre.

Sweet pear aroma and crisp pear flavor with a light gold color. Refreshing and light with a sweet fruit finish.

Draught. Pours a very pale yellow color with pretty much no head on it whatsoever. Nose is slightly sweet with a bit of pear, but not overwhelmingly fragrant. Taste is much the same, very slightly sweet, lots of pear, and nothing at all remarkable.

I had this after having the Magners apple, and I think it is arguably better than the apple. Virtually no color to it. Although the flavors are less bold, they were also more balanced through the limping finish. Still, nothing like a proper cider. Can at Total Wine, Roseville.

sample from vendor...poured from bottle...looks like ginger ale in pint....taste was way better than the original...almost like a low alcohol wine...very drinkable on a hot summer day.

Bottle @ home. Pours with a faint yellow colour, small diminishing frothy head. Aroma has quite artificial notes of pear, not very good. Taste is medium to heavy sweet. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation.

I don’t get the pear very much, nor the beer, but if u drink it like a fresh and fruity aperitif it’s nice. Like a sweet white wine.

12 oz bottle from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. An almost artificial taste of pear is evident followed with a high fructose immersion. I would have liked it better if it had tasted more natural.

Bottle from Cooperative supermarket. Clear and extremely pale yellow-green. Has a dulled but steady pear flavour.
