On tap at the brewpub. Pours orange brown with a spicy aroma and a rich coffee and pumpkin flavor. Pretty good for a pumpkin beer.

On draft at the brewry. See through light orange in color which manages to be gorgeous! Distant nose mainly smelled of light malts and weaker spices. Drinks lagery and a bit watery, but the light spice does kick in towards the finish which saves this one from being a dud.

I can not say that pumpkin ales get me excited, but this is fantastic! I couldn’t stop drinking this over Halloween weekend. My wife and I returned to pub three times during our five day stay in SF. Deep amber in color with a quarter inch of tan head. Aromas of cloves, allspice, cinnamon, and toasted pumpkin seeds. The flavor also held clove, allspice, cinnamon, and pumpkin. Very rich, smooth, well balanced and easy drinking. This is not a "pumpkin pie" beer. This was the perfect combination with the Barking Pumpkin braised short ribs. The Barking Pumpkin on cask was even better, overall everything was a bit more pronounced. Highly Recommended!
